The American Vice President is coming to a plush Ayrshire estate for a holiday, and over 1000 police officers are going to be on duty - at considerable cost - during that time to ensure his safety.
FFS! 😡 (Sorry, I just couldn`t help myself.)

Ah well, at least we can do away with the idea they`re public servants.

Is the deployment of such a vast number of police officers really necessary? Apparently, according to RS, he has an entourage of some 20 cars packed with American bodyguards. Surely that would obviate any need to involve Police Scotland?
And if he thinks Scotland is unsafe, why does he not holiday somewhere in the good ole USA? Preferably the Mojave Desert.

It`s an absolute joke. While the majority of Scots consider him and the Tangerine Dream to be a couple of fannies, I don`t think they need an entire motorcade of security and a load of police on top. Most people pity him rather than want to harm him.
We genuinely have reached a point where western politics is just a circus.
The war the Pumpkin Iced Latte claimed he`d sort out months ago still appears to be going on. He`s still pushing to offer mineral rights that aren`t his to get Putin to pull out of Ukraine. I didn`t realise that was an option. I`m going to offer my neighbours brand new Merc on return for the bank agreeing I no longer have to pay a mortgage.
