Was she fired? Was this to do with Epstein? Did she do too much, or not enough?
I find the cult of firing people rather disturbing. I don`t know if it started with the US version of "The Apprentice" (which has a lot to answer for in other ways) but it seems that people are too easily persuaded to call for people to be sacked (particularly in the football industry) for some minor indiscretion or mistake. It can`t be healthy.
I`m reminded of the "Saturday Night Massacre" when Richard Nixon ordered his Attorney General to fire a special prosecutor who was investigating the Watergate cover-up. The AG refused, and quit.
So Nixon order the the Deputy AG to do the firing. The DAG quit too.
Eventually the Solicitor General did what he was told.
This was the beginning of the end for Nixon as Impeachment proceedings began shortly afterwards.
That won`t happen here though, as a lot of people will be happy to see Bondi and Noem go, but it does indicate there`s trouble at t`mill.
