Hi Wid,

great post with Faiss as Waldo. I'd like to have a go at that. Do you use the Photo Blender app from the store?

Two apps.
Used "cut paste photo" to start with for the head.... And then added it to a where's waldo pic in "photoblender" .
It's a bit fiddly but good fun.

Both available in play store and done on mobile for info.
Might be less fiddly on desktop if its possible.

What I've done so far is, I've managed to copy two pictures from the net into a Photo Blender folder. They're both jpegs and when I'm on Photo Blender I can access them through 'Gallery'. Can't see how to blend them though.

When I click on one of the photos I get a menu - Effects, Overlays, Frames etc. but none give me the option to blend the two images I've chosen.

Then pick your fist pic (I've used one of my own).... Then click on the double frame icon again to add your second pic.

Your second pic should now be added.... Although you might still only see one pic. If you click (or press on my version) on the picture, two slide bars will appear below the picture. One alters the transparency of the first pic... The other alters the transparency of the second pic.
You can also change the size of one of the images the same way you would change the size of a picture on most mobiles (two fingers... widen for bigger... Close for smaller.
I've used a second image of mine of the Abbey to show how it looks. Remember to save when your happy (I learned that the hard way).
Hope this helps

Yes that helps Wid. It showed me I've got the wrong download. What I started with was called 'PhotoBlender_PhotoEditor.'

Now I've tried another one called 'PhotoBlender Camera'. That's better, I can get the pictures to blend but I need to resize one and can't see how. I'm on a laptop and it's not touch-screen.

I wonder if I could work the images in Word then save them as Jpegs? to copy into Photoblender.

Otherwise is there a way I can get the same download as you've got?

Meantime I'll keep on with it.

(I wonder if I took a screwdriver and poked it in this hole in the side of the laptop and rattled it about a bit... 😂)

I've discovered since this thread started that I don't need the cut paste photo app so I've binned it.

Now I've managed to blend it as good as I can. (Didn't use Cut Paste PhotoEdit, I was able to use + and - enlarging and reducing tools and 2:3 ratio crop. Sounds like I know what I was doing but it was more like a drowning man who lashes out in any direction in order to get to land.

Trouble is now it's a JPEG in my documents. Can I send it to the forum?

Just trying something here on the share2 site you mentioned Wid.

I've successfully uploaded a picture onto share2.

FEB with hearts

That's linked the picture but I didn't want to just create a hot link, I wanted the picture.

In the address it's got 'url', so I tried changing it to 'img' but that didn't work.

I'm stuck now. Any ideas?

I just added img at beginning and /img at the end.... In brackets.
I'm not sure how you ended up linking it.
When you upload your pic you should see two options for posting.
Did you use the top one or the bottom one?

FEB with hearts

I just added the img bits but it's made no difference.

I've got to go and do some things, I'll be back soon and look into the other things you mentioned. Thank you.

There's three boxes each containing an address for a linking option:

Top: 'to use this link on a website'

Middle: 'for use on a forum'

Bottom: 'to send the file by email'

So I used the middle one. It gives the address to copy and it already has url at each end in brackets.

Maybe I should try the top option? Because it just has an address and no url or img at the ends.

That didn't work.

Could there be a problem because I took the pictures from the Net? But I presumed you did that with your FEB/Waldo blend?

What I did there Wid was to copy the address from the picture as you pasted it, then I pasted the address and added the imgs. That will allow me to do what I intended with this picture but I still have the problem in the future of only being able to hot link.

But that's something I can work on in time.

Like you said Wid. it's a bit fiddly but fun. 👍

And now I can look forward one day soon to being able to post a photo of my own.

But that's enough exercise for my cranial muscle, so-called.

I'm off to watch 'Ripping Yarns' on the TV.
