Every time I search for something now, the system fails to find any hits - even when I know there are posts that should be found, EG when I search for posts by myself.

Thanks, Brian. All seems ok now.
When I was testing it, I found out how sensitive the search engine is - and it might cause a problem for someone in future.
I was sure I had recently posted something with "£2000" in the body of the post, but I couldn`t find it - turns out I had actually used "£2,000".
