 Avengers: Endgame

Ok, who was at the midnight showings?

I wasn’t, but thankfully I didn’t see any spoilers.

IMHO, this was an amazing finale to a series of films that have dominated the last 11 years of my movie going life.

Saying it was an emotional rollercoaster just about covers it. Definately a film I will see at least 5 times in the cinema & lots more when it hits DVD.

Was a really good watch, though I was getting a bit of a sore Erse by the end of the 3 hours haha. Loved the Thor 'Dude' thing along with Banners face which I couldn't stop laughing at the first few times he appeared

I didn’t think much of the reason why Hulk wouldn’t come out in Infinity War though.

Brilliant film. Love the old school anticipation for its release. Reminds me of the original star wars releases.

Brutal that it’s been spoiled for you dude but I hope you enjoy seeing it any way, and I hope no-one spoils it for the boy.

It was on reddit on subreddit with nothing to do with movies. An ambush spoiler for want of a better term. Before I had a chance to stop I had read too much. Has made me rethink my Game of Thrones viewing. Usually wait for the Friday to watch the latest episode but might now watch them as as a I can.

Enjoyed it, think it was a fitting way for Ironman and Captain America to bow out. Hope it doesn’t mean Gwyneth Paltrow as Ironwoman though... Not sure about Anthony Mackie being the new CA either. Set up a few more films, was always looking forward to GotG3 but even more so now if Thor will be in it.
Wonder if Loki escaping is to set up Thor 4 or if it’s just for his tv show.

I guess you guys are right. My own fault for reading the thread before I have seen the movie. As it turned out I had only had part of the ending revealed to me but now its the whole thing.

The film's real success in concluding the story arc for me is that it took the time at parts instead of going all out crash bang pow, credit due.
Guardians 3 just got a neat twist.

I've not seen a single one of them.

Pretty amazing that I should watch 21 films before the conclusion.

Some franchise.

Wouldn't say you need to watch them all, but you're not going to get half the same enjoyment without actually knowing the characters.

Hypothetically if you wanted to watch through them all what order would you watch them in, purely by release order or is there a better way?

e.g. Star Wars had so many prequels and sequels.

I'd honestly say just watch them in release order. They tend to interlink a lot but you won't miss out anything in the older films if you save Captain Marvel till just before endgame etc.

Thoroughly enjoyed it but the scene where they line up all the burd superheroes to break through at one point was pandering of the highest order.

Yep that was cringe level 100.
Didn't think it was quite the epic finale I was expecting but then I haven't watched all of the mcu movies.

'On your left'

I got genuinely excited. Will be interesting to rewatch the film as even I was getting a bit uncomfortable sat in the cinema for over 3 hours and started getting a bit fidgety

I thought you would watch Infinity Wars before Ant Man and the Wasp? The credits in Ant Man spoil Infinity War’s ending.

Just watched Endgame today and loved it. It’s a shame what happens to Iron Man (easily my favourite character in the series) but was a fitting ending for Captain America. He got his happily ever after in the end.

Great film.
A little below Infinity War, Civil War and Winter Solder in quality IMO but still a great sign off for The Avengers.
The only bad part was the forced in "Girl Power" bit. That was cringe.
