Heatseeker - Scotland`s Female Fronted AC/DC Tribute Band have been booked to headline Wee Jimmies Cowdenbeath on Saturday the 16th of November🎶
Heatseeker blazed their way onto the Scottish music scene in 2022 with a blistering gig at Paisley`s Old Swan. Their frantic, energetic approach to honouring the AC/DC legacy won them immediate respect and they`ve continued to develop a following since then.
The rhythm section (Gerry, Stevie and Craig) was formed from the remnants of another female-fronted AC/DC tribute band. These 3 guys have played together for years and it shows. Tighter than 2 coats of paint, when they start playing, you`d better be ready or they`ll run right over the top of you!
The band secured the services and powerhouse pipes of Lynsay (also of circuit regulars Back In The Day) on vocals. When people hear the power that comes from this girl, there are a few loose jaws and wide eyes. Explosive singing.
All that was needed next was an Angus! Up steps Neil, a dancing dervish on stage and master of the Gibson SG. Just like the real Angus, this lad rocks so hard, his bunnet falls off! The line-up was complete.
Heatseeker focus mainly on Bon Scott era songs, playing them with a nod to the feverish energy captured during AC/DC`s legendary performance at the Glasgow Apolllo in 1978. With a Brian song or two thrown in for good measure, there`s something for everyone.
Heatseeker received great support and acclaim in 2023. Highlights were Highway To Hellfest in Blackpool`s Waterloo and the West Fest at Rocknrolla`s in Paisley.
There are plans to step it up a level in 2024 and the band hopes to take a great live performance far and wide.
