So says the First Minister. Sure we`ve heard this before but does he mean it?

It`s a majority of seats rather than the highest number of seats amongst the Scottish parties. There will only be 57 Scottish seats at the next GE as a result of boundary changes so they would have to win 29 of them to be in a position to hold a referendum on independence.

In my view there should be a clearly-defined route for Scottish voters to have a referendum on independence which does not depend on permission from Westminster.

So the snp can take an absolute pasting at the ballot box and yet somehow still pass it off as a victory for the hose wanting independence? That`s an interesting strategy Cotton.
Hopefully Hanvey and MacAskill step aside and allow the snp to contest their seats unhindered by their attempts to split the vote.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Why should they stop aside ? We`ve now had SNP winning more votes than any other party since 2015 and what have they achieved?

Oops, I forgot we`ve got a referendum this coming Thursday.
