Pars captain and Goalie sign for extended stayDate: Friday, 17th Jan 2003
Jimmy Calderwood is delighted to have had confirmations from both Scott Thomson current captain of the PARS and Marco Ruitenbeek, that they will stay with the Pars for some time come.
Scott who has been with the club since July 1998 has signed a deal which will see him staying at the PARS until June 2007 and will include a testimonial at the end of his contract.
Scott commented Ill be thirty five when I come to the end of my contract here which for me is great that I will have managed to stay in mainstream football for such a long period of time.
Marco, who has shown steady form throughout the past season has had his contract extended until June 2004.
I feel happier in the knowledge that Nipper and Marco have signed up both are crucial players on the pitch and it gives us a sense of stability to have them with us for such a long period of time. Commented Jimmy Calderwood
