I see Slippy and Hendersons team played in front of 696 fans at the weekend. And “slipped” to 7th in the league, oops.

I`m fairly sure this will fizzle out like the chinese league did 10 years ago...

Not so sure, Bandy. The Chinese weren`t short of a Bob or two, but the Saudis are positively minted. 🙄
Not your average Sunday League player.

Bonnyrigg Rose`s average home crowd is higher than that, and i would rather watch them over Saudi league

Reminding me of LIV golf. PIF don`t understand the sport and what makes people watch it. Everyone`s loyalty to clubs/stadiums/derbies etc mean it will never take off.

The LIV golf comparison is fair, and whilst the attempt at taking over golf didn’t happen, it got them a very loud voice at the top table. I’ve suspected since this started that’s what they were really after over becoming a top league in their own right. It’s brought them a significant amount of ambassadors for a near certain guaranteed World Cup for a start.

They will have an ambition to host English Premier league games, or champions league ties .

This is just all part of the Saudi bid for the 2034 World Cup which they will inevitably buy/win
