We’ve dropped to 8th with Queens Park and Thistle drawing at the moment, but it’s so tight in the table that a win tomorrow could take us to 4th.

It`s still very early on. Dundee Utd are under a great deal of pressure. They`re in the position our owners are trying to avoid - of being reliant on premier league income. Outside the OF and maybe Hearts/Hibs, the rest of the teams will always be yo-yo teams to some extent. It pains me to say it, but clubs like us and Falkirk should be higher performers but the problem for us was buying success and it coming back to bite us.

I am not convinced about United. We nearly beat them at Tannadice, and we had a significantly weakened side when they beat us, so I am yet to be convinced that this is a one or even two-horse race. All that Friday night`s result proved is that they have the hex on Arbroath.
