Does anyone know what the situation is with Ben Summers? He never seems to get mentioned in injury updates now and has almost become the forgotten man of EEP.

The last announcement I can see was on the 4th of Oct, where he had a thigh injury that they were monitoring and implied it would put him out for a week or so. That was 5 weeks ago. Maybe he has picked up another injury in training.

Are Celtic treating and monitoring his situation?

He played 90 minutes for us on 21st October...

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

It would be good if James McPake could clarify the situation with Ben Summers, for he can be an impact player for us.

it was in the Press both print and online he could make the Morton match and he did, he was on the bench.

this week, maybe he got a knock in training on Thursday after the media stuff was done on Wednesday

According to the match report, he wasn’t on the bench for the Morton game.

It’s amazing how many knocks we have suffered on Thursdays and Fridays……

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Was it really worth rushing Benedictus back for 45 mins and have him out for 6 weeks? Careless management

Bene`s injury is different from his original one although it may have arisen from excessive stress put on his body when he returned - at least that`s what was said at the time. It`s easy to be wise after the event and say he shouldn`t have played at Kirkcaldy.

The comments about Mehmet are a bit cryptic - is he available or not?

Yea because you know better than the manager, assistant manager, player, head physio, physio, sport scientist…..remind me of what position you hold in football again? 🤔

Clearly they know everything and it’s went well bringing him straight back after 2 training sessions….

I hold a position in football don’t you worry yourself

Had it been up to Bene himself, I can guarantee you he would have declared himself fit before the derby at Starks Park. That`s the kind of guy he is - desperate to play without a care for himself. James McPake is well aware of this and having suffered some very serious injuries himself, he is very protective of his players, so your "careless management " comment is well wi3de of the mark.

Not your average Sunday League player.

How long would you have waited to bring him back, out of interest?

I hope its not at a decent level if your view point is that he was “rushed back” by a bunch of full time professionals at a high level within the game….including the player himself…

Not sure how it’s cryptic if mehmet is fit or not, Mcpake said himself the protocol is 12 days after a concussion, so if he plays it’s utterly ridiculous to risk a player after concussion

Also what does it matter what level? If you can’t see that him having to go off after 45 mins and out for 6 weeks after isn’t rushed back then okay. You do realise even professionals can make mistakes too aye ?

I didn`t understand McPake`s reference to `symptomatic`. It`s a pity we can`t all be as knowledgeable as you.

Oh dear, it seems McPake`s pre-match comment about Mehmet was cryptic after all.
