Not quite sure about that. We need to bring in some quality early in Jan. if we don’t and put a run of defeats together to get sucked in then things can change quite quickly.

Mcpake would do well to search for experienced players outside of Dundee and Perth this time.

Need to build confidence in that team. McCann looked utterly dejected. Some great play but also some really sloppy stuff. However, it`s the confidence that seems hit the most.

Why are we continually passing back? Get in their faces. Take a shot ffs!

Time for a change of ownership more like. Where is the investment from our German owners? We should have kicked on this season, yet it’s shaping up for a relegation battle. Rovers new owners have invested in their squad and going places. If our owners have lost interest in their Scottish experiment move on!

[ Rude and Abusive deleted]

Mcpakes choice of starting 11 was pathetic.
Spine of the team is absolutely rancid. Middle of the park in particular is absolutely pathetic.
Up front we have nothing. Mccann is goosed after 50 mins every week walking around holding his back, problem is the alternatives are even worse.
Recruitment not good enough, signed dross like O Halloran when boys like Jack Hamilton etc were available.

McPake is 100% the man to take us forward, but he needs to stand up and take ownership for that shambles tonight. He got it all wrong. Every other game (bar Ayr at home) we have been good and competed to get a win.

basically down to our recruitment , that is why we are where we are !
Paul Allan isn`t good enough at this level in the middle of the park , Chalmers needs time on the ball which he will not get at this level
Forwards with zero confidence , etc etc
I am pretty sure a few folk saw this coming as we have not been at the races most games this season
Cannot say I saw anything tonight that was a positive

No use in making big bold statements now, best to take a day, get the heat out and think about what the route to improvement is. Would however be interested in hearing the thoughts of those who defended Peter Grant and berated those who were looking for the squad to be strengthened in the summer?

Since Jimmy Calderwood we have had arguably 1 decent managerial appointment in Jim McIntyre.

David Hay - rather not think…
Stephen Kenny - murder
JJ - couldn’t save us
Alan Johnston - no plan B
Crawford - cheap option
Peter Grant - dear lord
Hughes - dug meat

Honestly shudder at some of those names, yet McPakes the one that’s had me most excited to be a par in a long time.
We were a club in turmoil when he took over and he had absolutely transformed us all throughout last season. Most didn’t expect us to go up yet we lost ONE GAME.
The fans were absolutely class last year but this season some comments are embarrassing. This squad showed the most unbelievable fight last season and into this yet are rewarded with boos and abuse at the 1st sign of things not going to plan. Calling for the managers head and shouting dogs abuse at FT.
Despite starting the season not too badly with the injuries we have had to deal with.

Folk need a reality check, we’re a young squad with great potential and will continue to build this squad further.

Who on earth are we bringing in btw?

"Time for a change"

We still have to get back to where we were in terms of player fitness and form, i.e. Matty on form, KRH on form, Bene fit and leading. Gonna take time. We need Bene! He`s still the most important missing part.

We need to get a striker in during the January window. Another CB would help as well, Hamilton and Otto are missed in midfield. The Rovers outplayed us tonight and deserved the win. There are definitely questions around the lack of investment over the summer. The Germans need to step up in January along with the CEO and ensure the manager has funds to bring players in on loan.

I do not care what people say regarding we deserved more from several games
Did we switch off in these games and Lose them ??
you reap whay you sew , and we do not win games because we do not create enough good chances ! and when we do get a chance we rarely take it !
It is Goals that win games , not off the post not off the bar not an attempt off target
Doesn`t matter how you paint over the cracks, it is down to recruiting for this league as there is a big diference in quality no matter what you think !
i am trying to be realistic here , who knows maybe when Bene and breen are back we might be more organised at the back but it still leaves the problem of creating chances for our forwards maybe we will change the shape now
In the games we previously played Raith we were arguably the better team but did we score ??

He needs to change the shape now that KRH and Todd are back. Get this Clarke 3-5-2 in the bin and start using a bit of width and a more solid midfield (numbers wise). We have the players, we just havent had the rub of green/right tactics in place!

The club invested on KRH and Otoo in the summer, that was a fee and wages weren`t paying before.

The investment in jakubiak and O`halloran should rightly be questioned.

And the 3 Yr deal for Mehmet.....he and his agent have played a blinder. There is a reason he was 2nd or 3rd choice throughout his career and we are finding out now.

KRH is completely untested at this level, we can’t rely on him. Matty Todd looked out his depth last time he was in the championship (although I agree he’s a different player now). If Bene doesn’t play we are hopeless at the back. There isn’t a single pars player would get a game for raith based on that tonight, an absolute walk over.

Going into the January window we need a decent keeper, a centre half who can lead the line and organise the younger players around him, a centre mid who can actually get about the park unlike Chalmers and Allan, and a striker who can score goals. I won’t hold my breath.

I’m surprised at calls for McPake’s job. Yes he has shown far too much faith in the players that won us the league last season but many managers are guilty of that. He needs to get it right in January though.

I imagine many will disagree but even Otoo has been poor recently. He’s been far too sloppy with the ball and caught ball watching quite a bit recently. Even Fisher looks a shadow of the player he was last season. We are a young squad with low confidence but we failed miserably in the summer and didn’t strengthened where we really needed it. A striker who could finish was the priority in the summer and we failed there. A decent midfielder was also required and we failed to bring in Byrne, who would have made a massive difference to us. I cant be too critical of us keeping Mehmet as he was fantastic this season. Unfortunately, he’s back to making the same basic errors as last season.

The board need to put some money into recruitment in January as there is a serious worry that we’re going back down if we don’t improve.

I agree with this - goalie is mince and needs dropped. McCann was throwing his arms around tonight like a bairn taking a tantrum and should be embarrassed and dropped for that performance. We have the nucleus of a decent team but are failing in two key areas.

It’s amazing isn’t it ? A desperate backs to the wall win against Morton saw us up to the heady heights of fourth in the league and here we are three weeks later calling for the managers head……

I was always worried about this season….. winning the league at a canter last season may not have been a good thing in hindsight. Currently Falkirk would give us a shoeing and I think Airdrie look more solid now than we do. Why have both these teams improved and we have not ?

It’s not time for a change, he’s got credit in the bank to allow him to work this out.

We’ve been poor in recent games but been hampered with injuries, the loss of Breen, Bene at the back and Todd, KRH have been massive.

Now the latter two are back the pressure mounts a little bit for sure but we have some very winnable games coming up in Arbroath and Queens Park.

It will certainly be interesting to see where we are after those two games.

Rovers investors are trying to push up the value of their asset by getting them in the prem. This involves debt. Debt isn`t a bad word.

We are trying to be sustainable (i.e, turn a profit, live within our means etc). Might be less of a financial gamble, but pretty much removes real board-room incentive to get promotion. That`s where we are. We aren`t signing the players we need. We are signing the players we can sell 2 or 3 years down the line.

Far too sensible for the raging fraternity.
You are 100% spot on.
Raith are a very good side this year and we are developing. Raith will boom and bust. We are challenging for a playoff spot and at the start of the season that is beyond what most expected. We have a long term plan and we are about in the middle of it.

Its sad to see the fans turning on the team. It will only lead to more lack of confidence nervousness and errors.

The future is bright and it is being managed with long term security in mind. Some folk just want instant success and only come on here when they want to vent.

We were beaten by a very good side who were on top of their game today.

Chucking money at the team for short term success which is not guaranteed is a thing of the past.

Let`s remember we won the league last year with a team we were told by everyone that could have won the championship the previous year. So to say he totally transformed the club is a bit off the mark he won league 1 with a championship team on championship wages probably. Did he change our style yes but let`s not forget it was hardly a team who were in league one for years and stagnant.

Let`s face it, we have a team made up of young lads, dross and relegation fodder. Not a great mix tbh.

Clearly the latter and the dross can`t play at the top end of the championship.

But we all know the Germans won`t change their stance.
So we`ve just got to suck it up people.

Bene coming back will make a difference.

We’re putting a whole lot of pressure on KRH and Todd though. KRH is untested at this level and could prove to be too lightweight. Todd wasn’t up to it in midfield at this level previously but we’re hoping he’s improved enough to compete after a good season in a league where even chalmers had a good season.

Upfront is a joke, Jak swaggering about like he’s made it in football and is trying dodgeball, McCann running about lots but zero end product and generally his first touch is his last but knows maybe it’s the 1 out of 20 he does something.. Wighton can’t even get in the team and o’hallaran doesn’t look particularly interested.

I think every man and his dog knows a midfield of chalmers and Allan is not the answer at this level. It’s back to the last time we were in this league, pedestrian football, soft in the tackle and unlikely to score. That a worry that our manager doesn’t see it. Mcpake to loyal to last seasons team and in particular to
Players he and his assistant have worked with in the past.

It’s because at least 5 of that team last night were the same players who played the season we went down and not one has improved -Mccann, mehmet, chalmers, edwards, comrie and maybe even Allan. To a man just not good enough.

Back to being drenched in my own negativity….

Crowds doubled yet still a third less than the Pars 🤔

People are criticising the academy but this is the way forward. Raith can do as they please but they`ll be unlikely to gain promotion unless Dundee Utd bottle it. So another season in the Championship. They might get some cash when they sell Easton but really they`re just facing a high wage bill in the Championship.

Sad to say Rovers are light years ahead of us on how club should be run, commercially, socially media etc

Connect with fans and public in general has massively improved which shows in their crowds which have virtually doubled, business and soonsorship involvement has massively increases and every penny spent the in bars and kiosks go to the club, they are much better on the pitch than us as well

Sell Easton? Contract runs out next summer and heading to 30. Hardly going to generate much income.

I thought he had another year and a half. There will be premier clubs sniffing about him soon. Always frustrated me we didn`t go for him before Raith. Lives in Dunfermline and did great stuff with the Joe Cardle academy.

You know when you ask a 5 year old if he wants a sweetie now or a bag of sweeties tomorrow............

Time for some folk to grow up and try to understand the long term plan that has been mooted since the German investors took over.

In a few years time you will be greeting when challenged with your inane reaction to current results.

You`re old enough now to understand people will have differing views from yourself...

Teams that don’t score goals get relegated . We are absolutely abysmal . McPake is a complete and utter fraud. Auld pals act . Same problems that have riddled the club for years.

Exactly, not to mention with this logic we’ll still be safe seen as there are 3 sides in the division with fewer goals scored than ourselves. Hurrah pars 🥳. Never mind the 5 sides below us with fewer points at this stage.
