With flood warnings in force in the Ayr / Troon area and a grim forecast for the next few days, what’s the likelihood of the game being postponed? There’s nothing on the Ayr website yet but I don’t want to plan a journey unnecessarily - learned my lesson last New Year with the Falkirk game ☹️

Not that I`d trust the BBC to predict the weather, let alone the future but tomorrow and matchday look OK.

"A period of sleet and snow, turning to rain may lead to some flooding and travel disruption." Doesn`t sound too bad BPP, although I went out for an hour`s walk last night in full waterproof regalia when, in Glasgow parlance, the "rain wis stoatin` aff the grun" and had to vault several raging streams. If Somerset Park can cope with the deluge and the game goes ahead, I`m going to use my BP and let City link worry about the conditions, for what could be better than a late December day in Ayr splashing through the puddles with a freezing wind in your face, standing at a crush barrier, watching the Pars. Three points to us and it`s a great day out.

Sad to say after looking at the weather forecast, it`s more likely that it`s gonna be aff, so I wouldn`t rush getting organised for going.

Forecast seems to be for `light rain` with the worst of the wind abating before kick-off time. It doesn`t look too bad.

Despite heavy rainfall in recent days… the pitch is in great condition and there are currently no concerns ahead of tomorrow’s clash with @officialdafc,taken from Ayr twitter feed

Somerset Park has always drained very well - be very surprised if the game doesn’t go ahead.

Rubbish I remember being at a Scottish cup game against ayr at Somerset and it lashed it down with rain the whole game both goal mouths and various other parts of the pitch were like a swamp the day was made even worse by Gus McPherson scoring two own goals much to the utter delight of the home crowd
Come on ye pars ⚽️

It does go down as one of the best Own goals. Maybe Asa Hartfords one sneaks in at number 1 🤔

Vanoli easily the best own goal Ive ever seen - the fact we weren’t awarded a blatant penalty a second before and it secured the win made it sweeter

Is that the game where Jimmy Calderwood was raging? Live on BBC Scotland, he said the team had too many “billy big baws”!!

No Todd in the squad today but Bene is on the bench. Not many options there though.
