We have a stand that covers a quarter of the pitch that the sun doesn’t get too.

We are a professional club playing in the championship that should have a working USH system. It`s not rocket science.

Imagine being a full time club, with USH and an avg attendance of over 5k not being able to get a game on when clubs with 50 fans and a stand at a public park can…

Bonnyrigg in the 90th minute - no big cup run for those greetin’ bairns this season. McGlumm should be good on highlights tonight.

No requirement for pitch protection, let alone undersoil heating at Championship level so don`t see how a "professional club playing in the championship ... should have a working USH system". Some Premiership clubs don`t and until fairly recently it was only the Glasgow grounds, Edinburgh grounds, Aberdeen and Dundee United that had it.

It also doesn`t "beggars belief! [That] Crossgates and Hill o Beath games on, Dunfermline off" when they don`t have a big stand on the south stand blocking light getting to the pitch and didn`t have flooding on the park last week.

I mean, a quick google search shows that Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Dundee, St Johnstone, St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Ross County and ourselves all have had USH installed during the noughties or earlier so its not just 6 grounds with it 🤷🏻‍♂️

ETA - Im not calling the board incompetent or anything like that, but we are investing large sums of money into the training academy (which is great) whilst facilities at East End are still not working as they should be. 3 occasion’s in the last 6 weeks we have had home games called off that would have been prevented with a working USH system.

How long have we known now that the main stand side of the park freezes in the winter?

Then take attendances into account - you can guarantee we will lose revenue in terms of gates from these games being moved, specifically to midweek where they are evening games and temps are lower - how many families would attend on a Sat afternoon but not a Tuseday night?

No you can’t. Last season many folk on here were raging when our new year game against Falkirk was called off on a Saturday cos they thought we’d lose out on a crowd. The subsequent Tuesday night saw 8500 turn up to basically cement our league winning campaign.

Theres an anomaly there though - we were playing a big rival and top of the league going for the title. These games arent against big rivals and we certainly arent challenging for a league title. These games will also not bring in 2.5k-3k away fans.

All I can say us, happy match was off, more time to get players fit.
Problems is backlog of of matches will that mean even more injuries when we play twice a week, sad when I played twice sat and sun, we never had many injuries

I tuned into the Spartans v Hearts game thinking it would likely be a one sided rout..wow it could easily have went the other way. Perhaps even been the end for Naismith?

Went along to the Crossgates game and it was a bit of a mudbath by the end.
Their next 5 games are all at home too so I`m not sure how that wll do the pitch any good.

Probably one of the largest travelling supports I`ve seen there in a while I`d imagine they pushed for it to be on for the gate receipts instead of a smaller crowd midweek. Also the factor of guys getting away from work etc.

c'mon the pars
