He says he is `running out of energy`.

A few more months and I won`t be seeing him thumping his chest and fist pumping the Kop anymore. The only sad thing about it is that they`ll probably appoint Xabi Alonso as his replacement and he is looking like the next super coach for the next twenty years.

Unless you`re a dyed-in-the-wool Man Utd or Everton fan, there can`t be many who would argue he hasn`t done a cracking job. Took over when they were a bit of a laughing stock, managed to win the League, Cup, League Cup and Champions League (only Liverpool manager to have done so), reinvented the squad and managed to sell players for big money at good times.to spend money wisely. He`ll be a tough act to follow - maybe Xabi Alonso will fancy it now that Ancelotti is staying at Real Madrid - and it wouldn`t surprise me if he took a year out then became Germany manager where he doesn`t have the day to day responsibilities of club management.

Personally I’m gutted he is leaving. A top manager and hard to replace imo

Kelty i still wouldn`t discount him being at Real next season. If Real don`t win the Champions League or La Liga then I`d imagine Ancelotti will be out and quite possibly the same applies to Xavi at Barcelona. Actually Bayern might come calling for him in the summer as well.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

I think it was Alonso at 2/5 and then de Zerbi and Ljinders in front of Ange in the running.I like Ange and enjoy watching his teams play but he still has a bit to prove in England for me in terms of adaptability. Spurs are too easy to score against at times-they remind me of a Kevin Keegan Newcastle type side.Let`s see if he can improve them over a couple of windows.

Tough gig for whoever comes in.A bit like the after Fergie and Wenger effect.

Coincidentally, I`m currently reading Keegan`s autobiography and he says the narrative that his Newcastle team leaked a lot of goals is a complete myth stemming from the 4-3 defeat at Anfield and he provides the stats which back it up.

Not your average Sunday League player.

If Alonso wins the league he`ll probably take it, as where do you go with Leverkusen after that? But, could the speculation derail their title bid and put Liverpool off?

Ljinders could be an interesting choice. I believe he`s the one who runs the training sessions, and he`s been doing a fair few of their interviews recently... He comes across really well, but not all great coaches can become great managers.
