When a keeper stands on the spot and waits on the header irs nae wonder we lose goals, Mehmet has to control up to the 6 yard are, if he does not then he should go.
Kane did well and has potential, other forwards are garbage. And will struggle to score anywhere

O`Brien headered it from well outside the six yard box.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

I`m not sure a keeper coming for an outswinging corner like that would have have been a good decision and each player should know who he is marking without the keeper telling them.

No much we can do, at least the defender have certainty he’s not coming.
We certainly can’t replace him, we’re already signing loan players to get the other senior players who will be here next season out of the team!

I am in the same thought as others
O`brian was Fagan Walcott`s man to mark , FW switched off and it cost us dearly again ( seems to be a common theme every week ) he got a free header from outside the 6 yard Box probably closer to 7 yards out and scored !
This is not a goalkeepers territory !

Good goalkeepers dominate between 0-8 yards from their goal line.

Mehmet should never be coming for that cross yesterday.

If Mehmet is going to stay on his line then maybe our defence should do a zone marking instead of man marking? A player in that area would have easily stopped the goal.

If he isn`t coming he still should save it. I would understand if the guy has put it in the corner but it is right at him.
c'mon the pars

Do people realise we`re in the second tier of Scottish Football, which is in itself not in the top tier of global football. Good goalkeepers who can command the area 0-8 yards from the goal line are in VERY short supply - I can think of 3 in the Premiership who can do that (Alisson, Ederson - and possibly Raya). Our players are always going to have deficiencies - purely based on the level we`re at.
As people have stated - coming for crosses isn`t Mehmet`s strength. In one our more successful periods we had Derek Stillie in goals who also never came for crosses, but as a team we adapted and did OK.
MFW lost his man - maybe in the past he`s had a keeper who`s come for that ball and bailed him out. Not this time - it`ll take time to learn the habits of his new team mates. That`s not really his `fault` either.
Responsibility for losing the goal is a collective one. Let`s not single out individuals.

MFW was 100% at fault for the free header uncontested.
Mehmet could`ve done better as well.
At a professional level that was a terrible goal to lose totally avoidable and unacceptable.

Mehmet is probably the standard of keeper a club in our position has , despite trying a couple of others , i can only think Max Little must be pretty poor

Mehmet is only as good as the players in front of him. If you can`t be confident of those players then you`re effectively second guessing what they might do/not do in situations where the opposition is attacking. That`s why Bene is missed. There needs to be someone holding that defence together.

That`s not 100% true, you can have a solid defence but if you have a goalie who spills crosses, has moments of concentration lapse and has poor handling, that`s not on the defence.
