Technically decent, quite athletic as well - more of an out and out fullback

while possible centre half options are very limited this isnt the back up plan/alternative to missing out on Ashcroft.

It`s a body added in defence with Todd and Jakubiak available suddenly things look a bit better?

Plenty 1st team experience at a decent level, looks to have had torrid luck with injuries as per KRH, so a good chance for him to impress.

We missed out on our first choice yesterday. Today we signed someone else. It more reeks of us signing our second choice - or quickly putting plan B into place.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,

Yes, but these two will need time to get up to speed. In the case of Todd, could be 3 games at least?

The sooner they get back in the squad the sooner they`ll attain match fitness. We used to have the luxury of regular reserve games to get players match fit but that`s no longer the case.

I know that but fans shouldn’t set unrealistic expectations and their game time needs to be steadily increased

Agreed, but inevitably 2/3 will probably play before being match fit, which will be a hindrance no matter how you look at it. Will either lead to poor performance or another injury.

This is my worry, the squad is so threadbare with injuries, that we are playing guys who are carrying injuries, and rushing others back from injury too soon. Others, who are needing rested, are having to play week in week out because there is no one who can come in.
The team was running on fumes till mid December, you`ve got to applaud them for being competitive up till then, the wheels have come off the bus a bit since then because it`s a squad that is exhausted

I welcome all the players who have come into the club on loan in recent weeks. We are in a difficult position at the moment, so we need players in the door who are prepared to come here and play. It takes time to get up to speed and settle into the team and the style of play. It`s difficult for the new players as it`s a steep learning curve, and our position is such that we cannot afford to lose games. The spotlight has been on the defence on that basis. From what I have seen, the players have potential and need a few games to get up to speed. I dont think it`s fair to lay blame at their door. Neither is it fair to blame JM. There are many reasons why we are in the position we are in. Yesterday`s solutions are today`s problems and the problems of today go back several years. From my perspective, I am looking forward. We are where we are. What is important is the next few games, supporting those players who are on the park who are playing for the Dunfermline Athletic Jersey.

That`s bad news about Comrie. I`ve just watched MW-H`s highlights on EEB. I know they`re slanted to show his good points but I did like his enthusiasm and energy. He seems decent in the air and was always looking to get the ball forward. He was mainly playing RB in these clips so it may well be he has been signed primarily as cover for Comrie but his versatility could be useful too. League 2 will be a higher standard than the Scottish Championship.
I see he played with Josh Falkingham at Harrogate and has been in touch since he signed. Josh told him he was a legend at EEP!

unrelated to his previous injury, the question now is how long will he be out for which given the speed of getting a replacement id guess it could be season ending.
