does the gaffer start bene on Tuesday and if so does he put him right back in as captain? Imo Chris Hamilton had done more than enough to keep the armband
I’d rather see bene get back into the team and concentrate on just enjoying his football without the added stress of being captain
Come on ye pars ⚽️

Tough one. The temptation would be to play him and allow Hammy to go into midfield ?
I think he will err on the side of caution. On the bench and get another week’s training under his belt ?
It`s bloody tough being a legend

Surely at best bene might get last 15 minutes to ease back in? Problem is central defence is a hard position to make any changes in if it’s a close game.
I’d prob go with the same team on Tuesday tbh.

Kyle has essentially missed the last 16 matches due to injury. There is no way that he should be starting the next game. As frustrating as it might be to the player, manager and fans it will be important that Kyle goes through a progressive return to play process over probably 4-to-6 weeks. What that means is a gradual progression of match minutes from week to week (also taking into consideration weeks with more than one match like this week). As has already been pointed out, Kyle getting 15 minutes would be a great start. Then build from there 30, 45, 60, 75, 90-minutes. I agree this is a much harder process to do with central defenders compared to other positions based on match state, but it is what it is.

I’m sure the manager will ease Kyle back into the team on a gradual progression as you suggest, just as he has with Marty Todd.

Bene`s last outing was the first half of our last game at Stark`s Park, where we play next Saturday. That was his first outing for many weeks. Whether he gets a run out in either of the next two games is debatable. Maybe there would be a lingering fear that lightning may strike twice.

I’m sure he came on against Ayr Utd away some time after the Raith game and that badly affected him as well. I just hope his injuries are behind him now.

Will Bene be risked again on the plastic carpet that is Starks Park?

I see there`s another Championship game on Tuesday night - Morton v Dundee United. I`m not one for getting ahead of myself but, if we were to win and Morton were to lose,...

Should be the same starting 11 if everyone’s fit. Jakuibak for McCann possibly but would be harsh to drop anyone

Recent results show just how bonkers a league this is, Arbroath were dreadful in the 1-1 draw with us, lose 6 to the 3rd bottom team, then come back from 2 down v the Rovers to win 3-2.
Caley were shocking against us ,then go and beat Morton 15 games unbeaten, in Greenock, one thing for sure don`t back any games in the championship for your fixed odds .

It is bonkers - am I right in saying we could possibly be either 4th or 9th by this Sunday, depending on how results go?
I would like to see Jak in and McCann rested - the lad looked knackered Saturday - otherwise keeping the same 11 from the weekend. That back 4 has brought us two clean sheets and Paul Allan has earned his place in midfield for me.

Best championship for many years as everything still to play for. Unfortunately raith don’t look like getting relegated mores the pity but another win and we close in on 4th. Injury front appears to be clearing so lots to look forward to if we can take care of airdrie.

Great start, should have done better with the two chances at the start of the half and arguably should be ahead but Airdrie growing into it and had a good effort just wide. Open game, with teams playing good football. Airdrie probably well on top now tbh.
And there it is. Good ball to the back post, simple header..been coming on the evidence of the last 5 minutes. Todarov, of course it had to be.
