The ex-Pars striker, who is currently chief scout at Bournemouth, is rumoured to be moving to Liverpool when Richard Hughes becomes sporting director there.

If I remember correctly I don`t think we played to Burchills strengths when he was with us. More often than not he had his back to goals when he got the ball rather than playing through balls for him to run on to.

Bournemouth have a net spend of over £108 million in transfers this season alone.Maybe not on a par with a select few clubs but a lot more than most.

Loved Burchill, however he was the only person I have seen that got smaller when he went up for a header ;-)

Didn`t try a leg under Stephen Kenny. Not the only one though.

"He missed a sitter against Celtic in the 2007 Scottish Cup Final."
A half chance that he had to take quickly - hardly a sitter.

If it had been against anyone but Celtic he would have scored but he was another one who made sure Stephen Kenny got sacked.

Let’s be very clear, Kenny got himself sacked cos he was incompetent.

I lost all respect for him when he openly abused the Pars travelling at Partick Thistle.

Never liked him - I remember once he took his shirt off and his upper body was like a body builder which made it all the more infuriating that he always got brushed off the ball so easily. Would imagine we paid him substantial wages and got very little back from him.

I recall his goals and McGregor’s goalkeeping being major factors in us avoiding relegation in 2005/2006.
