There`s been quite a bit on here about the dire state of the EEP catering this season and rightly so ... I`ve just had a steak, haggis and peppercorn pie from the Buffalo Farm at Bogllily and wow! It makes the much-acclaimed Killie Pie taste like Poundstretchers’ budget brand. I appreciate that Boglily’ s more Rovers territory but we should sign them up for next season … and it might help ease their administration worries. An absolute shoo-in for any of those fans’ pie awards. I used to love a Stephen’s bridie but, as we all know, it’s now at least 80 per cent pastry, and you’re lucky to get one after five past three.

Unfortunately noones going to sign a long term deal with a company in administration to become a supplier - simply far too risky.
The catering does need to improve, but after a recent spat on here, that’s a bun fight you might want to avoid 🤣

As has been said, the Buffalo Farm went bust and has either been bought back or is about to be bought back by the previous owner. Obviously a bit of a case of the pot calling the kettle black in terms of the Pars but it`ll leave a bad taste, particularly if the people who were at the helm when it went down the pan are still in charge.
Agree there are better options out there. Baynes for a start.

The Brig.
Deep fried pizza and chips with lashings of brown sauce.
If we are going down the route of a chippy supplying food at east end then I vote for Jim Jack fish and chips best chippy in town 😋

Could space not be offered to mobile food operations. Rent a couple of spots out on match day increasing options and improving the fan experience.

Aye and you can spend your mortgage on a burger and chips at the same time 😂
Genuinely think the club should reach out to Baynes 🤷🏻♂️

No. You would need several around the ground, and it wouldn`t work for them.

The only way we will get Stephens punted from EEP is to not buy their poor fare.
I manage.
Surely others can go 90 mins without spending money on over rated crap also?

I hadn’t had my breakfast or lunch and thought, well at least I can get something at the football. Even though I was hungry the offering was truly dreadful. The tea somehow was awful too. It really takes some doing to make tea rotten. Even my grandson doesn’t eat anything from the kiosk and neither will I anymore. Bring my sandwiches and cakes myself.

Why not? Barter a fee depending on the stand. Main and Norrie stands, higher fee paid to the club?
It was discussed on a previous thread that the time is too limiting. It would only work if people were encouraged to come early and it be part of a bigger pre/post match thing.

Stephens merged through marriage, ironically with "Par Bakeries". They`ve grown a fair bit since but the quality of the once famous Bridie`s has dropped. A Brownings Belter Bridie is far better.

The pastries from Bryan Beveridge on the High Street are really good so far better than any of the high Street bakers.
Stephens is more focused on drive through than the actual product

When I first started going to games in the 1980s I`d jump over the fence behind the goals and nip round the running track to a wee trolley thing selling pies in front of the enclosure.
I think you had to pay an extra 50p to get into the enclosure, but nobody seemed to mind me using the pie trolley.

I quite liked the idea of this marriage, sounds a bit like the sort of thing European royalty would have done in the dark ages to build empires or add weight to any peace treaty between nations.
I can imagine the father getting involved to put paid to any ideas of The Bridie Bride marrying into the lowly Bayne family, when joining The Par family could help steak Stephens claim for the West Coast

Never beat west coast rolls. East coast rolls are toast in comparison and would crumble if compared.

If you mean Mortons rolls then they are over-rated IMO. A Baynes filled morning roll is what you want.
Baynes is just generally better than Stephen`s these days. That`s not to discredit the hard work of the staff, it`s just that they`ve clearly made efficiency savings with the meat in the savoury goods!
I suspect it`s maybe too difficult to accommodate but I`d like to see a bit of variety. Few people saying they rarely eat anything at a game but that`s something the club needs to foster. Football is expensive for what is 90 mins of entertainment. Get some decent food on the go and maybe some activities and people make a bit of a day of it. Make it more of an experience. At least all is not lost if you`ve got a decent bit of scran before an under-par performance!

I used to regularly spend about a fiver on food at East End Park but it was just so regularly disappointing that I have given up on that, money lost to the club. Stephens put on poor fare. Overpriced, poor quality.

The thing is it`s not money lost to the club as they make the money from hiring out the space, not on individual sales of pies
