Cove Rangers website:
"The fixture was arranged prior to the Premier Sports Cup draw, which saw us in the same group, but both clubs have agreed to go ahead with it"

Courier.:
"It is understood Dunfermline are currently finalising their pre-season schedule, with another three friendlies expected to be announced in the coming days"

St Pauli got promoted after playing us, let`s see if they want to come back or if another 2.Bundesliga team fancies some of that luck for the upcoming campaign.

Wouldn`t be shocked if we played Inverness, especially since they`re going to be training and living a lot closer.

St Pauli are one of those horrible clubs that link politics to football like Celtic. I`m glad we are a local club and not linked to politics but the just local area.

Aye, the guiding principles of St Pauli are truly worrying.

"FC St. Pauli, in its totality of members, employees, supporters and volunteers, is part of the local community and as such is affected directly and indirectly by societal changes in the political, cultural and social spheres.

FC St. Pauli accepts this social responsibility and promotes the interests of its members, employees, supporters and volunteers beyond the sphere of sport.

FC St. Pauli is a club rooted in a city district. It owes its identity to this and has a social and political responsibility towards the district and the people who live there.

FC St. Pauli conveys a way of life and is a symbol of sporting authenticity. This allows people to identify with the club independently of any success it may achieve on the pitch. Salient features of this identification opportunity are to be nurtured and protected.

Tolerance and respect in our mutual interactions are important pillars of the St. Pauli philosophy."

Some completely off the mark assumptions on St Pauli, based on the fact that Celtic have clung onto them.

Proves my point, why back anyone as a club in a war that doesn`t involve you, stick to football!

St Pauli seem to support the Palestinian people`s right to self-determination but would like to see them separate from Hamas and are against antisemitism.

So, it doesn`t really appear to back up the view that they are a horrible club.

A lot of guessing and surmising and getting it all wrong, but still gobbing off an unsubstantiated opinion right here.

They`re who we should be aspiring to be. Well run club, top 6 and European football. Engaging well with their support too.

Correct. In 2017 they were 7th In the Championship, pretty much like DAFC in 2024.

They got promoted in 2018, spent four seasons fighting relegation in the Bottom Six of the Premiership, and the last two seasons in the Top Six.

I would be very happy if DAFC has a 7 year progression like that.

"Do they also support changing the direction the sun rises in?"

You know that Hamas isn`t universally popular in Gaza, right? And that Hamas aren`t actually in power in the largest part of thr Palestinian territory, right? Why is it OK to tar all Palestinians with the same brush, but doing the same for Israel would be seen as antisemitic?

Anyway, St Mirren will provide a stern test if they are at anywhere near full strength and given that they will have a European play off to prepare for I expect they will be.

I thought you’d manage to google it but obviously not.

Woke is a political slang adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) originally meaning alertness to racial prejudice and discrimination. Beginning in the 2010s, it came to encompass a broader awareness of social inequalities such as racial injustice, sexism, and denial of LGBT rights. Woke has also been used as shorthand for some ideas of the American Left involving identity politics and social justice, such as white privilege and reparations for slavery in the United States.

Woke simply means "informed" or "aware" and people who attempt to use it as an insult are simply a bit thick by their own admission.

So you yourself couldn`t define the term you throw about and instead had to Google it. 👍
