 No positions, all out attack

Good article in the National about a young Scottish coach (Stevie Grieve) in Finland with SJK ( Lewis Strapp just joined them ) who’s philosophy is all out attack, entertainment as a priority, cause chaos, no positions ( well, fixed positions ). They are doing well. What a novel idea…..entertainment…..can’t remember the last time I was “ entertained “ at EEP.

I wonder if this concept will ever catch on ? I suppose if all teams adopted it , it would be chaos, but entertaining. Probably see games ending 5-4, 6-5.

In a results based industry it won’t of course, but it will be interesting to see how things pan out for him and his team.

Just had a quick look at the league table and they are second with six games to go but have only scored 26 goals in 16 matches…..hardly prolific.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

He also gave an interesting interview to The Terrace podcast too. Strapp is one of the oldest players in that team at only 24!

He also talked a bit about why Theo Bair looked like he`d be a good signing before joining St J, before Motherwell got the best out of him.
