As title says St Johnstone are letting Stevie May leave.
Surely fits our criteria, ex St Johnstone and injury prone.
Wouldn’t be surprised if we sign him on a 3 year deal.

Good plan. Between him, Kane and Wighton, we might manage to have one striker fit for most games as well.

17 goals in 131 appearances Raymie?
Isn’t that the kind of stats we look for in a striker? Wighton, Jakubiak and Kane all have similar poor finishing records

I know you are being sarcastic but he had two good seasons, ten years ago and then it’s been pretty poor from him since
It won’t happen anyway, so a moot point

We’ll get nowhere fast until st Johnstone and Dundee start releasing some decent fit players.
Jakubiak hasn’t got a new club yet….wouldn`t be surprised if he came back on a short term deal.

As much as I never really rated him that much, I think he would perform really well in a Rovers team at the mo, given their style of play!

I wonder if we will take a look at Dapo Mebude. His record is pretty poor but he has been in an accident. Seems to have been highly rated. Pretty nippy striker. He was on trial at Raith but they never took him on. May be an option alongside Kane.
Either that or we do sign Stevie May and score 10 goals all season.

Sad how it`s ended up for May.
Was playing for Scotland what seems like not that long ago but horrible knee injuries and never been the same since.

For what it`s worth i was impressed with him when he was on his game but it didn`t happen too often.

We`ve not even started the league campaign FFS. I get how bad we`ve been in the cup, but enough of the dramatics.
If we`ve not won a game in 3 weeks time, it`s time to panic but not now.

It’s the quickest season ever DBA.
We’ve been relegated, went part time and all without kicking a ball.
I’ve no even had a chance to sample some more Sammy the Tammy double biscuits. That’s the travesty in all of this!

We will finish last with none of our strikers scoring more than 6 goals. If we are as skint as rumoured then yes we will probably go part time.

People talk about us going part time all the time and it never happens.
But folk like you come across as wanting to gloat about it if we did. No support whatsoever.
If you can tell me the winning lottery numbers for next week that would be better.

Why would I gloat about part time ? What a stupid statement aannnyywwaayy back to the actual point i made which you swerved. We have no money which is clear when you factor we needed outside investment to put shovels in the ground at rosyth (as per cook statement on cows Regarding the works) and the fact we play with a squad this small.
If we get relegated which is possible with the squad as of now, we will lose out on big gates therefore big income.
Lower league lower attendance lower budget probably will end up going part time to attract any sort of quality.
No gloating as it`s actually a very grim situation we find ourselves in but we also need to be realistic with where we are.

Could do a hybrid set up. Plenty part time players out there who are better than some of our full timers.
Airdrie were a good example until they went fully full time.

Nonsense, you can have part time players alongside full time players so I don`t really understand where you got that from. I`d love for us to stay full time but look at the players we currently have we surely can get better players who are part time to improve the team.

We`ve around 20 players. More than half would still be on full time contracts at the end of the season. Far fewer the season after. That`s why.

Plenty of clubs have had a hybrid model between full time and part time. Hopefully at the end of this season we get rid of some of the imposters and replace them with more reliable options. Whether our budget allows for them to be full time is another story and will probably come down to staying in this division.

Worry about a bad season (and potential relegation and part time status etc) is that Otoo, Ritchie-Hosler and perhaps Todd and Sutherland would be offski and for a lot less than their actual worth.

An example being playing KRH in midfield….
