He has been sacked by the BBC from MOTD and The One Show for workplace behaviour involving digital communications such as texting. He earned £190k from his contract on MOTD in addition to undisclosed earnings on TOS. All a bit of a mystery.

Bit strange, from the degenerate broadcaster that protected so many "stars", one is left thinking what Jenas must be really bad, at least in the eyes of the BBC.
Maybe he mis-gendered a producer`s cat or something?

Allegedly sacked for sending "messages" to a female member of the team. I`m sure people can guess what these potentially were but he`s said there are "two sides" so it`ll be a messy court case.

Married with three daughters and still more interested, as a man in his forties, chasing after young women and sending them unwanted `messages`.

How do you know they were unwanted?

Because he was fired for sending unsolicited messages to women he worked along side. While unsolicited doesn`t necessarily mean unwanted the fact that a complaint, or complaints, were then made suggest they were unwanted.
And although my eyes were open

Strikes me as all very strange.

Surely he would deny everything in the interview he done last night though?
Very strange to just keep saying “my lawyers are dealing with it” - screams of guilt and not wanting to make it worse for himself.

Obviously it`s just an allegation at this point and, as he`s said, there are two sides to every story.
However, I think it`s worth flagging that it`s not "woke" to call out discrimination against women and girls. The more men calling out this behaviour the better. At a minimum it`s pathetic, at a maximum it`s deadly. It`s saddening that we need entire strategies and campaigns around violence against women and girls because of the actions of weak men.

If it’s an allegation, he would be suspended not fired immediately.
I’m presuming he’s admitted the texts he sent.

Jenas has been a complete idiot and it`s cost him plenty - his £200k pa job for starters and possibly his marriage, too. A bit excessive of the BBC to lead their news programme with this, all the same. I know it was a different era, but Jimmy Savile was allowed to carry on while behaving far worse.
I want to stress that I don`t condone Jenas` behaviour in any way.
Not your average Sunday League player.

As usual, I think the BBC is dammed whether they do or don`t.....top of their news programmes and it`s "you lot are so self absorbed, always talking about yourself", if not it`s "you`re trying to brush it under the carpet".
It`s front page news on a few papers so they are at least consistent with that.
I really still can`t believe he has been so stupid.

The BBC are probably trying to avoid the criticism they got for their handling of the Huw Edwards` affair by bringing this out into the open quickly and prominently.
Interesting that Jenas is saying the texts were to `consenting` parties. I suspect he`s trying to make clear that young, impressionable people weren`t involved but I don`t think the recipients would necessarily like that description.

His case is very different from Edwards. He has admitted wrong-doing which lets the BBC take action. Edwards didn`t, which meant they needed to follow a legal process which took a long time.

Horner was found not guilty by an independent panel then cleared by an appeal as well. He denied it from the off. Jenas hasn’t and has openly admitted to it. Completely different.

It’s weird how Jenas is front and centre for being apparently abusive in some form towards fully grown women (seems like text messages but who knows) but Huw Edwards (grooming teenagers, child P and some rumours of physical abuse) story is kinda pushed to the back.
I still get the feeling that the rate of noncery is high at the BBC.
I’ve no evidence like just a gut feeling.

The Edwards story that the BBC themselves reported on as their number one news story for days? They are now reporting on one of their presenters being fired from their flagship evening show for behaviour that the presenter themselves has stated he is ashamed by? Nobody is saying what Jenas did was illegal just highly inappropriate and violates a work place ethics code that he would have signed up to.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Jenas and Edwards aren`t even on the same scale.
Whilst neither are correct and both would have violated work place conduct, one was a text message to a fellow employee, the other was convicted of child pornography.

Regardless of the legality aspect - if Jenas took it to an industrial tribunal would they uphold his complaint against the BBC ?

Having affairs is a scummy thing to do but is his private business. It sounds like he`s being accused of sending unsolicited messages to a number of women. That`s predator territory.

Given their long history of employing, covering up for and at times creating situations where those people were able to do what they wanted… I don’t know why the BBC has any credibility whatsoever.
They’ve already had to admit they knew what Huw Edward’s was up to. Whistleblowers have been coming forward criticising the BBC for not acting on allegations sooner. If you don’t believe me, you should look at their own website but remember, that’s their website. They’ll only tell enough of the truth
