I like it,much more variety in the fixtures and a better chance for smaller clubs to last longer in the tournament.
I`d be interested to here other people`s views.

I would agree with you. Obviously early days but smaller sides picking up points and money while getting the top sides having to play each other a long the way too.

Early days but it needed shaking up.I`d still like to see fewer teams from each country qualify.Last night, for example, Bologna were playing. They finished 5th in their league about 30 points from the top and yet are in the `Champions League. There are a lot of bang average teams in it.
I think there will be a few pastings like Bayern winning 9-2 last night.

Bologna got a point, though - and Bayern beat the champions of Croatia.
Difficult to expand the competition, have fewer teams from the big leagues and make it more competitive.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

I would have reduced it rather than expanded it in terms of teams.Still better to mix it up rather than the stale format it had become. When Celtic are putting 5 past teams you know it isn`t the European elite. I think they had to do something though to try and stop the talk of rival European Super leagues.
