Great vision from Ngwenya but our midfield before the goal look like the Keystone Kops šŸ¤£

Looked like McCann miscontrolled the through-ball initially but improvised the finish to beat the keeper. Good chances missed by KRH and Mebude.

I was expecting to see Airdrie`s penalty shout. McCabe claimed the assistant ref told the ref it was a stonewaller but he overruled him. As it happened in the NE corner the ref was in a much better position than the assistant to see it but it would have been good to have another look at it.

Looks like McCann slipped and misshit it but not complaining.

Dreadful goal to lose from Airdrie, back four was like a zigzag of two playing him onside and two who`d pushed out.

Iā€™ve seen the second half penalty claim and itā€™s a dive. Ref well placed.

Airdrie benefitting from the kind of goalkeeping mehmet was giving us, had that been at the other end and the striker didnā€™t control it, our keeper would have cleared that no problem.

McCann did well to get it in despite maybe slipping or at least off balance, given how poor we are any goal we score is massive.

Great ball from ngwenya, better than anything our midfield have mustered up recently.

Where did you see that? Wouldnā€™t mind a look just because the Airdrie fans and players had a big reaction to it. Made me think we had got away with one

Why is Pars TV showing neither of the contentious penalty claims from Airdrie?

Commentator on Airdrie highlights claims their player was fouled twice when through on goal! Ref could hardly have been better placed.

Blatant dive as you say Raymie, guess the ref bottled giving out 2 yellow cards for diving to the one team.

Cheers Raymie

Itā€™s one of those ones where I think heā€™s went down to easy to early. If he had held his ground just a wee bit better Tobi could quite well have fouled him

Yes, if he had been ā€œcleverā€, he could have kept going and allowed Tobi to collide and may well have got the award ?

McCann didn`t slip just before he scored. I was convinced their No 16 pushed him in the back just enough to unbalance him but he managed to keep his feet just enough to get a foot to the ball. Ironically, the sclaff lifted the ball well out of the goalie`s reach. Had McCann been able to strike it properly he might have had it blocked.

Having seen it back now, I`m even more convinced.

Thanks Raymie, although I thought we had got away with one at the time, the Ref has got this spot on. Well done šŸ‘šŸ»

I was surprised the keeper didnā€™t close Lewis down as the ball initially seemed to be running away from him.

I think he did well to get on the end of it. They all count. The keeper was indeed hesitant, but you have to capitalise on that. Lewis never gave up on it, so hats off to him for showing that level of commitment. I think I have said on here before he has 12 - 15 goals in him this season. You reap what you sow in this game, and he gives 100% every game.

Thatā€™s my thinking when Iā€™m watching it. To eager to buy the penalty and basically brought himself out of the penalty

That number 16 was consistently fouling Mebuda so wouldnā€™t be surprised if he pushed McCann..

I notice that this years Championship is starting to resembled two leagues within a league, with the top 5 and bottom 5 separated by a few points. Maybe not the most competitive league in Scotland anymore or will it even itself up over the season?

I can almost guarantee it will even up over the winter months, parsmad. Only a few weeks ago, anguished posters were telling us Falkirk were going to skoosh this league, and now they`re only 3 pts ahead of Livi. At the other end, Airdrie showed enough fight on Saturday to suggest they`ll start picking up points when some of their injured players return. We beat Livi quite convincingly and were unlucky to lose in Grangemouth.

Any team in this league can beat any other on any given day, because there are no outstanding teams and none of them have vastly superior budgets to buy their way to promotion. I`ll bet as many as 8 teams will be in with a chance of making the promotion play-offs, come the end of March. And maybe 4 or 5 could be in danger of relegation......
