There used to be a MOTM thread every week. Why should there not be a new thread praising one of the team?

Comrie was outstanding today, Bene was good but he stole the MOTM from Aaron today.

If there is a player who is Mr Consistency it`s Aaron Comrie. He delivers week in week out. He has been a very good signing for the club.

Agreed Comrie was in the shadow of Edwards but they were first choices every week I will say after his minor op our new left back gets better every week … he will be sold soon. Comrie will end up with a testimonial

Why?
This is specifically about an individual.
I recon they read the forum, and this is encouraging.
Bet he feels good getting singled out.

Comrie was tremendous yesterday as he has been for most of his time at EEP!

Even he must be wondering why they get booed off at half time, absolutely ridiculous. 🤬

Aaron had his best game for us in quite a while. It was pleasing to see him return to the levels he displayed on a consistent basis during his first few years with the club. I particularly recall the great relationship he had on the park with Ryan Dow.

Aaron would be the epitome of the term “model professional”. Hard working, dedicated to his profession and never giving anything less than 100%

Whilst not the most technically gifted full back ever to grace east end park, I’m sure if you had ten Aaron Comries on the pitch, they would not lose many games

Aaron always gives his all in every game and is definitely one of the players who plays for the jersey. We could do with a few others with his work rate. He had a great game yesterday.

He`s on a fine run of form, possibly because he has been free of injury this season. My impression is that he has improved his heading ability. He seems to win most of his aerial duels and usually finds a team-mate with his clearances or puts the ball out of danger.

My 13 year old son comes to games with me and Comrie is the player I always point out to him when we are talking about aspects for his own game and it’s because of the traits you mention Raymie.

Always jokingly said to my Dad that Comrie was Gary Mason reincarnated as a Right Back.

Strikes me as quite a quiet guy, otherwise I would have thought he`d be in with a shout of the Captain`s armband.

"Totally deserved". Away and raffle. We were level in a match we needed to win. Yeah both teams were rotten, but the Airdrie fans were still getting behind their team.

For me, it was nonsense to boo at half time. But if you think it was totally deserved, good for you.

My point is this is a thread about Aaron Comrie. Any other totally random thoughts?

Almost every single thread on this forum descends into petty arguing or posts with a dig at other posters. This is a prime example of it.

Maybe some of you need to just have a little think before posting, while others need to have a big think.

Any wonder the post counts are way down each year.

He is much more suited to playing as a full back than at wing back. Back to his consistent best now we are playing with a back 4 again.

Would like to see him going outside of KRH more often. Hosler often faces up the fullback and could do with an overlap run outside, even if it’s just a decoy

I thought KRH had a decent game. Good to see him coming inside more and running at goal. With a bit more movement inside the box to give him options it`s something we can capitalise on.

☝🏻 great point!

Would help KRH out but it wouldn’t be helpful every time. KRH does well hitting the byline and you wouldn’t want to take that space away from him

Yeah not every time but when KRH faces them up, sometimes he’s forced to pass it back or inside. An overlap would potentially create the space for him to move it onto his left and cross, or send Comrie down the outside.

Like the good old days of Higgy and Williamson on the right.

Just a minor point, but Comrie was playing on the right of the back 3 yesterday. KRH and Ngwenya were playing as wing backs.
