Was seen outside eep alone on Friday with the rest of the squad training at Rosyth. Not included yesterday or in the last few reserve games. Anyone know if he is injured? I assume not considering mcpake hasn`t mentioned it in his interviews when asked about any injuries.
Will the club try and terminate his contract on a mutual agreement type deal. I`m sure they did something similar with Dorrans when he was posted missing from the match day squads.

Guys in the top five biggest wage thief`s to play for us. For the length of deal, the money he`s likely on and contribution. Truly awful signing.

He’s had a decent career, representing Scotland at different age levels, Bolton, Rangers, St Johnstone. He looks the part, a player McKay knew, but doesn’t appear to be in the manager’s plans, not sure what’s gone wrong.

Yeah thanks for recommending your mate Dave.
Had heard he gets a decent appearance fee hence why he’s effectively finished at the club. Could have been opportunities to move on at the summer but wants to sit his deal out as still the best offer.
Top of the long list of poor mcpake signings including those he has kept.

Basically everyone called this a shocking signing the moment it was announced. What was even worse was the length of deal. He had a torrid time in a relegated Cove side by all accounts. we make Man United seem like a well run football club. There isn’t a bigger shambles in the Spfl.

My personal take is that he`s lost his one trick, his pace, and is basically very limited without it.
In saying that, he`s a human being and on that level I hope it isn`t mental health related.

Feel this is a bit harsh. The boy played 27 league games for us last season - and was an unused sub for most of the other matches. He played out of position most of the time, put in plenty of effort and did a reasonable job.
I feel he`s been tarnished because he was our only real signing at the very start of the 23/24 season and wasn`t fit immediately.
Obviously, something has gone wrong this year but it`s unfair to put him in the `wage thief` category.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

Not having Dorrans either. People decided he was on 2.5k per week and then lost their $h!t because he wasn`t Messi.
He had a very bad game against Thistle at the start of the season and then at Ibrox. He was pretty decent aside from that, albeit he had a couple of injuries.

Dorrans was absolutely honking. I just remember him going through the motions when we were relegated by Queens Park. He would have been better sitting in the stand. You expect so much more from a guy that had such a decent career. Some other decent pros let us down that day too.

He seemed to want more time on the ball then you are ever going to get at this level.
In fairness though that goes both bays and if you are used to playing with better players you`d be used to them picking up positions and movement off the ball.
Either way he never really adapted. Also he had a pop at fan(s) in one game - Ayr possibly - so his fate was pretty much sealed from the start.

It doesn`t though. He was often filling in as a wing-back for a manager who sets up not to lose goals.

Out of interest, have those who have been playing done much better? I’d imagine KRH has played around 1,700 mins this season, plays most weeks, and must only have 1 goal, 1 assist?
Certainly suggests that O’Halloran’s not necessarily the issue if his stats are similar to those that play more regularly. Tactics are the big problem and the (lack of) game plan to create chances from open play.

That’s my thoughts as well. Maybe something has happened in the background with MOH that we don’t know about but I don’t think his ability is what’s keeping him out of the team.

KRH has played 2675 minutes (last season and this combined) and has 3 goals and 3 assists.
Whilst I don’t think O’halloran has done anywhere near enough to be near the team I do accept he has on occasion been played out of position but did have a decent amount of chances in his natural position last season and didn’t produce.

I can`t remember who said it, but they were complaining about how football has just become data analysis. I wonder if we lean far too much on that. I can`t think of any other reason for not playing Otoo in midfield, especially as he can be a threat for a goal or assist. Maybe his `goals prevented` outweigh `goals created`. Or maybe McPake is just guff. Tis a mystery.

Tbh it’s difficult to judge most players when the team is set up so badly and people are played out of position. I would love to see JMcP suddenly turn this around but unless Harry Potter helps him I can’t see it.
Would love to see an attack minded manager organise this squad as I do think we have the players.

Not involved in today’s Reserve League game either. The more that happens and the more the question is not asked to McPake, the more speculation will spread.

MOH has had a history of hamstring and knee injuries. As you get older these injuries reoccur and are harder to shake off. He may simply be injured and is in rehabilitation.

Mcpake must get real time first had analysis given we’re now resorting to removing poor out of form players at half time and replacing them with different poor out of form players.
Those that came on half time get to start the next game until half time when they are subbed for those they replaced the previous week.
Rinse and repeat.

Maybe as was suggested earlier, he has a bonus built into his deal ,based on appearances, and is close to triggering this , Inis Hagi had this problem at Rangers ,where the board said the player was not to be played ,where both parties had to negotiate a way forward

There were players on their own last year - this was to allow kids to sit next to them for selfies etc. The manager told me they try to encourage the players to sit at individual tables to enable families to sit and speak with them but you’re always going to get players who don’t comply 😂
