Watching the game from Fethiye in Turkiye, listening to the sectarian bile coming from the stands. Embarrassing.

Absolutely. It`ll never stop because the will to stop it isn`t there. Make the clubs play the next home game behind closed doors every time the sectarian singing is heard.

That would soon sort it.

There is no willingness to cut diving out the game, so what chance sectarianism?

Some game but absolutely disgraceful that the country’s cup final isn’t available on BBC/STV.

It`s not the country`s cup final though. The Scottish cup is a protected event but the league cup doesn`t hold the same protections when TV coverage is involved.

Cannot stand either team but it was a fantastic game. Both defences were rotten to be fair!

A very entertaining game because both teams played on the front foot and tried to get forward at every opportunity. Às a neutral, I don`t want defences to be on top.

Pity we can`t praise the fans of either team. Sectarian songs throughout the game inside the ground and running fights in Glasgow city centre, scaring Christmas shoppers out with their kids. I wish they would take their 300+ year old cultural Irish baggage and eff off back to whichever bit of Ireland they come from.

A Glasgow derby is always a gift for the neutral. Whoever loses has their fans all over socials declaring conspiracies as to why they lost and how the world is against them with zero irony.

you do realise that sadly we are completely embroiled in that Irish baggage, you could argue we were at the front line historically (plantations etc), and then during the troubles (we`ve sent tens of thousands of Scots over in British army uniforms)

that`s why if you go through protestant areas, you will see Scotland flags flying and in their ulster paramilitary murals

Yes, DBP, I had my eyes opened a few years back when I went over to Derry (or is it Londonderry?) with a few mates. We walked along Derry`s walls. I was astonished at the segregation; giant murals of kids who died during the "troubles" on the Catholic side, Union flags and red, white and blue kerbstones the Protestant side, or would it more correct to use the terms "Republican" and "Loyalist"? We went into a museum that explained how and why the plantations were set up.

Isn`t it about time all that was consigned to the past now? Instead, we have thousands of fans, of both persuasion, making the crossing from Northern Ireland every Saturday morning to sing their hateful bile at Ibrox or Parkhead.

One of the perceived fears of a united Ireland (if it ever comes) is the thousands of Loyalists from the Six Counties who will want to emigrate over to the UK mainland - mostly Scotland.

Not a welcome scenario for the vast majority of us.

There`s no progress without forgiveness. It`s only when I know God`s forgiveness to me, that I`m really able to forgive "my enemies", whoever they may be. A major factor in the reduction of the troubles was the sacrificial forgiveness of peace campaigners on both sides. An elderly man called Gordon Wilson comes to mind. For Christians the cross of Christ compels us to forgive.

Ewan Murray`s article in the Guardian was spot on at the end.

"The cowardice displayed by the football authorities – and clubs – in dealing with rising misbehaviour in stands is coming home to roost. Supporters are emboldened. Rangers and Celtic are already facing charges for firework shows before their respective semi-finals, after the Scottish Professional Football League belatedly and surprisingly chose to deploy its own rules, one assumes after a nod and a wink from the clubs in question."

"The Scottish government should be insisting that football’s executives, hide-and-seek champions, start to act in a manner even mildly relating to their positions of power. If Celtic and Rangers want to portray themselves as modern, forward-thinking clubs they also need to tackle disruptive elements among their support far more vigorously. The status quo is unacceptable."

I`m wondering how our young guys were able to smuggle their pyrotechnics into Starks Park on Saturday, given the fairly robust checks at the turnstiles.

I avoided the checks easily by offering a few Cadbury’s Heroes to the security people on the gates.
I didn’t think to take pyros, but as there seems to be no sanctions in place, I am planning to take my garden chimnea along to the game to keep cosy. I am sure the SFA will be understanding.

I was heading for Glasgow on Sunday afternoon to do some Xmas shopping. I realised our friends were having a day out at Hampden. I said to my partner no way are we going to Glasgow Sunday afternoon. There will be trouble. Been in Glasgow before when they played.
Absolutely disgusted, what a picture to present to the rest of the world.

potentially depends where/when you entered but absolutley zero checks done when we were entering the ground.

No not sarcasm, maybe the stewards at the turnstile I entered were taking their task more seriously but they were doing full body checks, torso arms and legs. No stone left unturned, if you catch my drift.

"SFA admitting they got the penalty decision wrong"

not quite... an SFA "blazer" when asked has said:

"Decisions will be wrong, that`s a given. We`ll eradicate them as much as we possibly can. We`ve done that in the vast majority of cases, but there are always going to be one or two that will fall outwith that, because there`s people involved."

"Anything that involves a person in any walk of life, there will be decisions made that don`t go the way we want them to, or are incorrect. That`s just part of human nature."

If there was a questionable decision against the Pars or any other club you wouldn`t hear a peep. The pandering to the Glasgow pair is an utter embarrassment. The only good thing is the sheer entertainment of Rangers fans crying about it.

Cellic fans amazingly quiet , considering the establishment are against them, the SFA , SPFL, and referees, have failed to stop them, even winning 12 trophy`s in a row a few seasons ago.
