F**k
Had really hoped it was all just rumours. I’ve long said there was no point sacking Mcpake unless we had someone good lined up. When he went I really hoped it was Ian Murray. John Mc would have even been quite promising on the showing from the other night. This doesn’t fill me with much hope for the future.

Strange when there is no money their having to pay of the last management and giving compensation for the next .No compensation for Murray I wonder if he turned us down.

I’m happier to get someone in on the up than someone wanting to resurrect their career. I wonder if h e will be a player manager … or just keep fit in case of injuries. Do you think he will work with someone like Chalmers or Wotherspoon or bring somebody with him?

I’m a wee bit surprised/disappointed with this possible outcome. I know very little about the Kelty Hearts Manager and don’t remember him as a player. But interestingly a few posters have mentioned he was a tidy/accomplished player. At this moment in time I think we should be attempting to attract a manager with more experience than Tidser has to offer. An interesting few days ahead!!

I know that Kelty aren`t full of top class players but what kind of football do they play, and do they have a plan b and c depending on opposition?

This is a massive gamble on a very inexperienced manager. Not the appointment I was hoping for. Would love to know the rationale behind it. Obviously, we all hope it will work out but these decisions should not be based on hope but on sound judgment. I am surprised that the new investors are ok with this.

That is precisely why this is a forum; individuals are entitled to their opinions. They are permitted to discuss the merits and demerits of various perspectives.
If supporters feel uninspired and let down by the prospect of our club descending into League One, they have every right to express their sentiments. Observers merely highlight the fact that he is a young manager with limited experience, yet he is expected to guide our club away from relegation. Our history does not favor success in relegation playoffs. Therefore, from my viewpoint, this would be a misguided decision by the club, reminiscent of the ill-fated tenure of Peter Grant.

If it is Tidser, I think a lot of it will depend on who he gets as his assistant manager. If it`s someone with a decent amount of experience it`s probably OK -I`m sure Gerry McCabe was really useful for Jim McIntyre when he had little experience of his own. If it`s someone of a similar age to himself, that would be more of a concern.

If posters would stick to the topic at hand and not their opinion of the poster this would be a better place.
When folk question a Tidser appointment their thoughts regarding his inexperience and the style of Football are relevant points. It does not mean that they won’t support the guy if and when he’s appointed.

What a load of codswallop. We`re entitled to an opinion and Tidser would be underwhelming for me.

I`m surprised so few grasp our situation.
In saying that I`m surprised we aren`t appointing from within until the suggested takeover happens.

Whilst I think it’s going to be a very steep learning curve we’ll see what tidser can do, wonder who his assistant is?
I’m more worried that going for this option means there’s zero budget to bring better players in next month. If that’s the case it’s the playoff lottery unless airdrie suddenly pull a good team out of the hat!

Maybe the only manager willing to deal with cook. Murray said he had a lot of time for mcpake the might have spoken and he`s decided this isn`t the job for him.

His assistant at kelty is former airdrie player Kevin Mcdonald. I wonder if he will join us too if tidser is confirmed.

Yes, any deal will be for the two as a management team.

I see it as a win win.
If Tidser does well then all will be happy. If he flops and we go down, we get rid of Cook.
Hand on heart, I think the latter is a very appealing option.
February accounts not far away. Let’s see what bullshit he tries to feed the fans this time.

Might as well give tidser a chance, given airdrie are rubbish we can afford a wee bit of a gamble here.
He needs some funds to bring at least 2 starters in. This current team will forever struggle at this level regardless of the manager as they simply won’t never score enough goals. We only have 1 wide player at the club and he’s also the only one with any pace whatsoever.

Aye agreed Berkey, if he can drill the team which the players are crying out for we have a chance, I don`t think there is any problems with the mentality of the players. We have a few decent players for this level, but clearly quite a few who will never play full time once they he contracts are done.
I`m neither negative or positive about Tidser, I can`t think of too many other names that would come here or be any better.
Good luck.
