I noticed that Bonnyrigg Rose have been deducted 6 points for having too much gradient on their pitch.
Has anyone seen this ground? Surely that`s why we swap ends at half time!

I was there a few years ago when they were still in the EoS, and I don`t recall noticing a severe slope. Compared to other grounds at that level it was decent.
However, the chat is that they have had several warnings about not taking remedial action which have been ignored and the SPFL has lost patience.

Been there a couple times in the last few years, there is a fairly noticeable slope up to one of the corners in particular. I think they had said they were going to fix the pitch but it was delayed and then the powers that be deducted points. There was a statement a while back. Nice wee ground that has seen some updates in recent years.

Bonnyrigg are looking at various options, dependent on what they can afford:
1 installing a (level) 3G pitch
2 Levelling the existing grass pitch enough to satisfy SFA
3 installing a (level) grass pitch
They have a Pitch Fund website here if anyone feels flush!

I have never been to Bonnyrigg’s ground. If they level the pitch, how does it work for the terracing or stand?

Think it came to a head, when they found Edmund Hillary, in the 6 yard box.

sure theres a slope at tannadice still as well.
for Bonnyrigg presume they were given dispensation when they were granted licence for the league that they have not met the conditions to remediate hence the sanctions being enforced

Yes they did. It was huge actually. Sloping down to the left of the main stand. I think this is still noticeable on the stand but the pitch is level, or better levelled.
Parkhead used to have quite a big warp in the middle to the wings of the pitch. So whenever making a cross you had to hit it higher as the goals were up about a metre from the edges.

I played on it. I can’t recall it being an issue, to be honest.
