Falkirk assistant manager Paul Smith had a heart attack at yesterday’s game. Recovering well and hopes to be home by the weekend.

No keeper was safe from Smudgers "robust" challenges. Part of one of our best midfields IMHO. Get well soon 🙏👍

Great player for us, never shirked a tackle and if he could take the opposition keeper out he never shirked that also.

I`ve always thought football management must be a very stressful job but felt assistants might be a wee bit more sheltered from the pressures but maybe not.

And not forgetting the Dundee game when he pulled on the gloves himself.
Get well soon Smudger

Really did love watching him play for us. Complete commitment guaranteed.
Get well soon. The current treatments seem to be improving so hopefully he`ll get back to full health and have all the decent tabs he needs kept on him.

Who was the third of that great midfield trio we had with him and Craig Robertson back in the day?

I saw Paul at the Ayr game - I thought he was looking well, which just shows you that you can be struck down at anytime. Glad he is recovering.
I think he took over in goals in the 2nd last game of the 90/91 season when Andy Rhodes got sent off at Easter Road, and for the penalty shoot-out v Bolton in a pre-season friendly in 1994.
