He doesn’t sound happy, players not doing what he’s asking, or is it because they are unable to do? I know for a fact he’s very unhappy with one of our players that is currently playing but he’s only playing because he needs to.

Very honest and open interview. Nailed it with the some of the players going through the motions and not giving their all.

Calling out the issues that have plagued the first team for years. Issue is he needs to be the one to sort it out now.

Team were a disgrace tonight. I’ll give him a bit of credit for calling them out, again. It needs to result in improvements on the pitch though.

Needs to take some of the blame though. Yes the players are brutal but play to their strengths. Even our more consistent performers like Otoo look miles off it under Tidser. When the summer comes along, get rid of the deadwood and sign players that can play the style you want. Only two of the winter signings has been a positive so far. Young and Hampson need a chance but the rest look miles off.

I feel slightly better that he sounds as p1ssed off as we all are at our "players". I can almost guarantee I know what players he`s referring to.

The place needs emptied wherever we end up. Too many losers.

Chucking his players under the bus already when he`s serving up McPake lite.
Classy.

I’ve spent the night and past week saying he’s not good enough but to give him his dues he seems as pi$$ed off and frustrated as the rest of us.

He’s spot on with what he says players are going through the motion and we all know what players he’s talking about.

There won’t be many of that squad starting next season.

The likes of Witherspoon didn’t even really want to be here , he turned us down twice before joining and likely a last payday before he retires

Thought he did a good job of deflecting the blame away from himself and onto the players. I don’t sense a lack of desire or determination from the players, the woeful tactics don’t play to their strengths and we have too many players who just aren’t that good.

Players such as Bene, Hamilton and Wotherspoon should be leading this team with their experience but all are miles off it.

None of them should be anywhere near this club next season.

I honestly don’t care much for interviews, if we are turning up And playing like that then you’re not doing a good enough job.

He`s definitely not taking any responsibility for what his team is serving up.

For me the blame falls firmly on him !
He picks the team , He tells them they have to play out from the back ,
We need to play to our strengths right now and attack teams as we seem to be better when we are on the front foot and go at teams ! apart from that if we are in the oppositions half , maybe we have a chance of not losing a goal

While he is correct in his statements in the post-match interview, he must nonetheless accept responsibility. If he had not already lost the dressing room, he certainly has now by placing blame on the players. He is the manager; he selects the team and makes crucial substitutions. This evening, he remained in the dugout, offering no guidance to the squad. He then made a hasty exit down the tunnel, deliberately avoiding the fans. He seems out of his depth and lacks the experience necessary to navigate us out to safety. If this continues, relegation seems inevitable under his leadership. My emotions are running high, but we must question the rationale behind dismissing McPake only to appoint someone whose approach to football is no more effective. End of my rant

In all seriousness how many players are actually trying to win these games. The majority are out of contract in the summer so won’t really care whether we stay up or not.

Realistically what can any player do under these tactics? Fast build up with 2 up top has been proven to be effective for us this season

If you stick by a flawed philosophy of slow aimless football with an isolated striker, the same approach that cost the last manager his job, don`t blame the players for not making it work

If he’s calling out lack of effort 4/5 games in, he’s fkd.

I was sticking up for him at the weekend but genuinely, he’s fkd.

He’s asking players to do jobs they aren’t capable of doing.

He should be playing to the squad strengths to get us out of this mess.

He is ready to throw the players under the bus but he needs to look on the mirror. He hasn’t set them up to play to their strengths. Lanza John didn’t have any problem getting a tune out of them.

I remember Big Yogi saying the same about his players when manager of Rovers and we all know how that ended..

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I`m not impressed at all.

I was pissed off enough after watching the game and I now feel anger towards him for coming out with that. What is he thinking by saying that about his players so early?

I really hope it turns, but I have a very uneasy feeling that this is like John Hughes all over again. Hughes both alienated his players and made them look really bad by imposing a style of football they couldn`t play. That combination ultimately relegated us. I really hope he turns it round and keeps us up but at the moment he is failing as a manager. Failing tactically, failing at man-management, failing at taking responsibility and failing at showing humility.

As I say, not impresed.

Been saying for weeks Bene needs dropped. Wetherspoon miles off. Disagree with Hamilton, shows some grit the rest of the team lack.

We need a leader on the pitch and we don’t have that!!

I admire his honesty and few would disagree with what is saying after enduring the last 2 seasons. He is still saddled with predominantly McPakes duds and the new guys are all young players, some of whom need time to settle in, and some who probably aren`t up to the job. The danger is that when you publicly criticise your players, some may down tools (even more) and that is not a good place to be when you are in a hole. I can`t remember watching a Dunfermline team that was more inept than this one at putting the ball in the net. Most of these guys must know this is their last season at Dunfermline but if you don`t go out every game and show a bit of personal pride and professionalism, then you shouldn`t be playing football. I hope they react positively to the boot up the backside they have had tonight and give the fans a performance on Saturday that is long overdue.

Bollixks to tactics, it`s simple, score goals, be out of bottom two, then rebuild. If that takes playing pretty stuff or big Howfs to the front, I don`t care it`s the end result that counts right now. Justl bloody do it.

If as suggested, a lot of these players will be gone at the end of the season, where is the motivation for them. Most have already got something in the pipeline I would suggest. So he’s stuck with a squad of seniors who no longer care. They know that the majority will be playing next game irrespective of their performances, attitude or abilities

Players are hardly going to be willing to run themselves into the ground for him after that. Said on day one, an inexperienced manager is the last thing we need in the position we’re in. His inexperience is showing every week and it’s only going to get worse. airdrie haven’t lost in the league since 14th January while we’ve not scored in 5 games.. you can see what’s coming.

Why/whom is playing because they need to ?
Is it part of some loan deal ?

On current form we are favourites to finish 10th.

We play boring football, we’re easy to play against, we create zero chances and don’t look like scoring.

In our last 5 league games we’ve scored we’ve scored 3 goals and conceded 5 picking up 5 points. The 3 goals were 2 penalties and deflected goal against Raith.

Airdrie on the other hand have scored 9 and conceded 4 picking up 11 points.

Airdrie are playing the way I would assume a team fighting against relegation would be, playing with desire and fight to get out this situation. We are the complete opposite.

They are only 7 behind now with a game in hand, looking at our next few games I can see us being overtaken over the coming weeks.
