It’s very rare I would ever say this about a Pars performance but everyone in the crowd I spoke to said the same thing.
It’s a really worrying thing to say as well to depend on one player to get the team over the line especially as he misses half the games.
I’ll give credit to McCann as well for his efforts on the right hand side after Kane came on. He burst a gut.
Up till then I honestly could not see where a goal was coming from.
I didn’t see a good angle of the sending off but speaking to someone afterwards who did, reckons it was offside and no foul.
Thoughts of others?
Welcome 3 points and never thought I’d be cheering a F*lkirk equaliser at the death.

He comes on and reminds us all how good player he is. Fantastic display and two well taken goals. The 3 points are massive. Pray he stays fit for the last run of matches.

Outstanding from Kane when he came on. Fair play to McCann he really stepped up once Kane was on, it’s frustrating when he doesn’t play like that all the time.
I’m a bit more optimistic for next week now given Falkirk struggled against Hamilton today, our tails should be up and hopefully give it a go and get a result.

He was excellent when he came on however, I think it was a change in formation that was more important overall. We were far too narrow in the first half, changing to 4 across the midfield and 2 up front changed the game. Also kind of helped when we went a man down in that it was a 441 rather than a 442 🤷🏻♂️
Still I wouldn’t want to take away from Kane. 2 outstanding finishes 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We definately suit two up front. John McLaughlan has sucess with that too.

Totally agree. Kane is our best player. The shift in the teams way and demeanor was evident when he came on. It`s a team game though and the defence held out. I really really like Tidser naming players not for criticism. But for acknowledgement of what the fans were raging for. I`m loving the transparency. It`s the way to go. Let`s get to Grangemouth next week. And sing our hearts out.

He’s played in 20/27 games. Can we please stop this narrative of “he misses half the games”. We’d all rather he was available every week, but it just feels like he misses more because of his value to the team.

Fair comment, but I wonder many points we have lost due to Kane missing those 7 games

Record in the league when Kane hasn`t taken part in a game;
Wins: 1 (Hamilton)
Draws: 1 (Queen`s Park)
Losses: 5

Falkirk away next week and if Kane starts he will get kicked out the game..
Imagine relying on 1 player to get us out the **** we are in…..surely all the other players see Kane and want to give their all??

Kane may not miss half the games but he definitely doesn’t play in half the minutes that are played
Even if we got 60 minutes out of him every week what a difference that could make, he’s not going to be able to string 9 consecutive appearances together but hopefully he’ll make most of our remaining games.

Points per game
Without: 4/7 = 0.57
With: 23/20 = 1.15
(Overall: 27/27 = 1.0)
That`s quite a difference.

Totally different game next week though. Maybe don`t need a Kane type player as much. It will really show us how adaptable Tidser is as Falkirk will want to command the ball

Chris Kane on COWS -
“It wasn’t as bad as what I thought it was,” Chris said of his injury. “I was touch and go, but luckily I was good enough to make the squad and the gaffer brings me on to make a difference and thankfully I did. I hadn’t really trained much but I still feel good. I feel fit and ready to go and thankfully I’ve come through that game okay.”

Great result, well done to kane, fingers crossed for the remaining matches, it`s going to be close.
However still major concern about others scoring
Kane has 10 this season and next best is mcann on 3, if we did it over minute played it will be even worse
To sum it up kane has to play, perhaps we save him for important matches, or is that all of them

Would say we don’t have the luxury of deciding what is an important game is. They all are.

According to the FOTMOB app, Kane is miles in front of anyone else in the Championship in the goals per min played ratio. Graham of Partick is a distant second and the rest are as far back again.
If only he was able to play 90 mins every week......
Not your average Sunday League player.

Yip, a goal every 123 minutes for Kane, which is good shooting, well ahead of all the other strikers in the league who are playing regularly, even the best of them have to wait another half an hour for a goal.
Anton Dowds and Scott Arfield have a better minutes per goal ratio, at 98, and 62, with 5 goals apiece but I`ve not included them as they have only played 6 and 4 games respectively (and it doesn`t fit my agenda)

After Kane the next highest league goalscorer is cooper with 4, that’s quite impressive as he’s barely played.

Cooper back playing for the reserves today. So hopefully back in the squad at the weekend.
Always think he is a goal threat.
