Now that the anger has subsided.

Me and the wife went last night then drive home to Doncaster when we left 60 minutes in.

I don’t get to as many games as I used to and mostly now watch on streams.

I went to the club shop yesterday for a mooch and spend some cash and even that felt flat, in this case that’s not Tidsers fault, that’s on the club.

On seeing the team line my immediate thought was this was going to be much of the same and my hope sunk almost immediately, nobody creative or good enough to make a difference and the line up reeked of polishing a slightly different turd and getting the same result.

Most of the pars team will hopefully be elsewhere come August as they are generally low standard players with the very odd exception and the effort level is very low.

After about 30 minutes the fans turned and so did I, no effort to win the first or second ball and nobody to get us out of jail with a bit of something different and Raith only had to not make any mistakes to ensure a clean sheet.

Raith were rank rotten as well but had Easton who made the difference between a shocker of a 0 - 0 and a standard defeat that was all.

Now the changes were not made at half time or even before to try something different was beyond me, that is on Tidser.

I can only make a case for keeping Caine, Mullen, Young and Otoo out of last nights squad, for although with the exception of Mullen they were poor, they put some effort into turning round a shocker of a performance which is a minimum for me.

I honestly would drive any of the rest to their next destination without saying goodbye.

In all honesty we have been sh1t for a good few seasons even In winning League 1 it was turgid, we have managers trying to show they are closest to Pep than the next manager whilst not noticing we do not have the quality of player to play that way.

I want to be entertained first and win if possible. And what we have had from the club and consecutive managers is neither.

If we are laser focused on staying up Tidser goes today and we give John Mc the gig until the end of the season as he is the only guy who got a performance out this squad.

A recruitment success rate of 1 out of 7 so far is not a good return for the new owners, so this 1 is on them.

Even if I am able to I won’t be returning to watch this turgid crap again this season as it is awful on the eyes.

FA1968.
Excellent post and very impressed at your commitment in a round trip drive of circa 500 miles. I only wish the team had same commitment . It shows how desperately bad the performance was to leave after an hour. That would be a long drive back. Despite being a season ticket holder I couldn’t bring myself to turn the tv on. I almost feel physically sick watching this team and get much too angry. Not good for one’s physical or mental health.

Great post and some commitment!

Out of interest you say seeing this team sheet and your hope sunk immediately, looking at the squad we have, what team would have made you feel we had a chance? We’ve used loads of players his season and including those brought in, in January and to a man they have been pretty awful this season.

Our team selection is the football equivalent of grabbing 11 deck chairs on the titanic. It makes zero difference.

Cup tie at Edinburgh City was enough for me.
Turgid football, my eyes were bleeding after watching. I`ve seen us near the bottom of league 2 and although we were **** the guys we had tried.

Wish the team and manager showed the same commitment as you did FA1968. Great to read about our faraway fans.

Only good thing about watching the pars currently is that when the full time whistle blows you know life can only get better!

Keep Caine? (Cockney accent) He was only supposed to score a bloody goal.

Berkey,

I suppose I would like to just see Tidser throwing in something different, probably formation but thought the likes of Ohalloran (who I am no fan of) instead of MCcann ( who I am no fan of) Oakley Booth does absolutely nothing for me, just something different to try for a different outcome. Especially in the forward areas.

But it just looked like more of the same hoping for a different outcome.

It is all about scoring goals. We can`t do it. 8 games without a goal under the managers organisation. Kanes 2 goals had nothing to do with him. We don`t even look like scoring. We pitty patty at the back more than anything.

There is no pressure applied, we don`t press oppositions defences but they pressurise is.

The organisastion is non-existent. And he is incapable of improving it.

I do agree, it’s so bad that I’m pretty sure o’hallaran would have been a better option than what McCann and Stevens produced last night. Likewise chalmers as poor as he is would have been better than boothe.

I’ve no idea how Tidser gets our midfield moving and making space for passes from the defenders, apart from otoo there’s no players with any mobility in there and no intelligent moving to move the opposition around. Wotherspoon in space a few times last night and they took the easy option, someone is going to have to stand up and be brave.

I thought quite a few players struggled with the surface, unable to get the ball under control. A touch where the ball would normally stop within a few feet, skipped away a few yards. Raith were all over that meaning we lost possession or rushed the pass and then lost possession.

If you struggle with the surface at starks you can`t play football.

Disagree. That pitch is terrible. I`d honestly rather play on ours.

Has to be one of the worst surfaces in the league. I’d rather play on our Tattie field.

Maybe we should push Mullen up into midfield after him showing his ball control in the opposition penalty box. After all we have plenty of cover in his centre half position anyway.

Good post FA…

I have to admit I’m feeling totally scunnered with the Pars just now. The slow paced football, the players looking careless etc etc it’s all a bit much for me just now 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Can I just ask, what did your mrs think of Kirkcaldy on Friday night? That must have been a tough sell!!!!
