 Announcement today
Topic Originator: RossDAFC88
Date:   Mon 17 Mar 08:19

If any developments are to occur concerning Tidser`s position with the club, they will transpire today. Beyond that, he will remain here for the duration.

From the whispers I have gathered, it seems he is destined to be dismissed. I feel bad saying this, as he has only been with our club for a brief period. However, the supporters have turned against him, and the players appear to lack direction. The club must acknowledge its mistake and seek to progress.

Our objective is to remain in the championship, yet it appears increasingly unlikely that Tidser will be able to achieve this.

I don’t feel bad for him at all if it happens, he’s absolutely useless.
The brand of football is shocking, refusing to acknowledge fans, refusing post match interviews, body language, it’s would be absolutely the right decision to cut our losses n get rid of this clown.

As I posted the other week David Gray was destined to be sacked he changed his philosophy and style and now they are in the top 6. He needed to change from this tappy tappy nonsense and he hasn`t. That`s on him.

It all seems a bit soon but if he refuses to change, then he maybe has left the owners with no option.

We can`t continue like we are.

If Tidser persists on wanting to play this way and the team are not capable then there is no other options and he has to go. He should be looking at that game on Friday and changing the style of play to suit the team he has.

Easy to tell when someone goes and sees who`s taking training. If Tidser is there then it`s the usual.net rubbish if it`s Lanzarote John then he is probably gone.

The style of play has changed.

The Queens Park match was extremely dull but we controlled the game for 90% of the time. Never looked like scoring or creating a chance but we kept the ball well. You could argue that there was something to build on.

I think Tidser has compromised his `philosophy`, probably due to the overall discontent from the support, but we`re now without any identity at all.

On Friday, we didn`t keep the ball well, which would be fine if we were looking to defend deep and play on the break, hit the channels or even lump it to a big man and look for a strike partner or midfield runners to support.

However, we did none of that. There seemed to be no plan at all and, consequently, the team looked absolutely clueless, had no belief and lacked any fight.

The only way we give ourselves a chance of staying up and avoiding playoffs/relegation is to get that man out the club.

First time I can remember a new manager thud as opposed to a new manager bounce.

I agree with this tbh. The amount of times McPake should have been punted and wasn’t makes me not believe any of it until it’s confirmed - and cant see that happening with him signed on for another 2 years. We have a tendency these days to wait too long to cull a failing manager.

I think it may be more the case of Tidser resigning and hopefully admitting the jobs too big for him and holding his hands up that he’s out his depth.

Also need to remember McPake would have been away weeks or even months before he was if the takeover wasn’t happening.

I`d hope he`s gone. Since he`s come in he`s been arrogant and hasn`t shown any sort of accountability for what`s happened. Even if we limp to survival, I have no desire to go watch that horrific style of football next season, it`s better to admit a mistake was made in appointing him now than to do further damage to the club

The interview from his assistant after the Raith regarding not having the type of players to play a certain way sounded like a thinly veiled dig at someone, whoever that may be.

Works both ways for us though. Clearly wasn`t working but equally any new manager will possibly think twice now regarding our setup/model and the fact we are Romanov esq in how brutal and quick we are to give folk the bullet.

Did Kettlewell not walk from Motherwell due to abuse from the fans? Not sure this would be the right place for him.

We`ve had "meet the new boss, same as the old boss".

I just hope we don`t get fooled again.

If we have sacked him . That doesn`t make us brutal and likely to sack any future manager quickly .
We don`t have the time to persist with a man who was clearly out of his depth , and was unable/unwilling to try something different .

The not having the right players dig will be at whoever sanctioned the signings of those 9 in January.

Remains to be seen but I wouldn’t rule out having a good few bad eggs in the dressing room that will make it difficult for any new manager with new methods.

Don’t think the players are bad eggs at all, Lanza John got a tune out of them didn’t he.

Really hope we get Kettlewell in soon, possibly the tipping point was the facts Davidson got pointed by QP and we didn’t want to loose Kettlewell to them? If indeed it is him.

Not necessarily da_no_1

Many moons ago now but the season when we went down under Dick & Bert we signed an absolute shedload of bang average players from the English lower leagues and there was apparently a big dressing room divide between them and the established players who`d been there previously.

Wouldn`t surprise me if it`s the same.

He was getting pelters due to the awful football Motherwell were playing. Hopefully a short term appointment for someone to the end of the season - Ian Murray must be considered!

Berkey, folk don`t always agree with you, but you give your opinions based on facts. I suggest you refrain from speculation.

Your suggestion that the squad could contain"a good few bad eggs" is absolutely wild.

Been sacked now

I don`t see much more wrong with the players other than being demoralised since he took over, I don`t think there`s anything wrong with their attitude.

We can moan about ability etc but this is not a toxic bunch at all, and we`ve had that before.

These are players that do care I believe.

No, The Courier are saying:-

It is expected that youth and reserve boss John McLaughlan will be placed in temporary charge for the second time in just three months.

Kudos to the club for acknowledging their mistake. While the situation may appear unfavorable from an outside perspective, it is evident that this decision is indeed the correct one. He was clearly out of his depth, and the fans never truly embraced Tidser, who came across as somewhat arrogant. Consequently, he lost the support of both fans and players alike. As I mentioned earlier, it appears that Kettlewell is poised to step in. From what I have gathered, the owners are quite forthright regarding their ambitious plans for the future, particularly concerning pre-contract agreements and the upcoming season.

First and foremost, safeguarding our league status is imperative. As Cook mentioned in the update, it is essential. Let us all get behind the team, for I am confident that we will get our way out of this.

Kettlewell left because the abuse was not just aimed at him, his family were getting abuse and threats. Not cool.

I couldn`t hazard a guess at whom will get the job. If someone applies for the job and says that he will only play one way, his way,he should politely be shown the door. A manager needs to be adaptable to who or how we are playing. I`d give Jack Draper the job,he`s bloody magic.
