It’s always a roller coaster following the Pars.
Only 2 weeks ago tonight, we were in the pits of despair at an inept, toothless, surrender to the wee team. So nice then, the new owners have taken swift action and sacked the manager (why they didn’t go for Lennon in January is a whole other debate), brought in an experienced manager at the highest level, signed a player of huge pedigree, introduced new sponsors, and created a huge wave of optimism among long suffering Pars fans.
Fifers are known to be a wee bit cautious, (🤔) while I prefer to look on the bright side. Whatever is going on with sponsors, investment and board changes, let’s leave for another day and get right behind the team tomorrow and to the end of the season. If we can play on that front foot, get an early goal, it’ll fill the players with a bit of much needed confidence and those amazing away. fans travelling all the way to Ayr can be the proverbial 12th man.

Well said 👏👏👏
We’re setting off around noon and are buzzing already.
I’m the optimist aswell in this situation and I am enjoying the way things are going…..long may it continue.
3 points tomorrow would be sweet.
Ps: are there any pubs nearby for away fans just in case we get there too early?

This is the most optimistic I’ve felt about the club in at least a decade. We’ve had a succession of underwhelming managerial appointments and some pretty shoddy player recruitment.
In the boardroom: The pars united board tried their best but lacked the investment and nous to take the club forward. The Germans came in with some half baked plans that only worked if you ignored certain realities of Scottish football. I never really bought into their model.
Now, we have owners who seem determined to see the club succeed, a manager I really rate…. The future could well be bright if we survive the championship this season and recruit well in the summer.

Has the PARrot optimism tracker exploded after all the excitement this week?
It`s cup is surely overflowing by now?

All I see is we had the Germans(I told everyone about this) BUT our new owners want success and are willing to spend in the short term to see the club in the Championship where we need to be and push for promotion next season.
Top manager in, he called on a good player(Wanyama) to come in and help the team and looks like the team are doing well in training.
The problem with the other site EEB is the lads that run it were against Masterton etc and involved in the top guys taking over so there will be questions?
Myself I believe we are getting back on track..the club is getting better and as fans just look forward to what has happened and get behind the team/club…
Mon the Pars!

Asking sensible questions isn`t a problem.
And how can you not be "against Masterton etc"???

I’d retract that part about EEB as it’s just not true the guys that run EEB saw through his BS and were given info on what the wee rat was up to buy people directly involved with pars united to post on here to get people talking and asking questions and let’s be honest if it hadn’t been for his scam of a share issue being torpedoed out the water at that meeting at the vine how many here would have gleefully handed over their hard earned to him? You will of course fire back with some utter tosh about that not being true but I know different and some of the guys who posted said Info will back me up but anyway why we are even talking about that man is beyond me he tried and failed to kill our club and is now irrelevant in the grand scheme of things

Anyone still trying to defend Masterton after everything that came out over the years should be banned from East End. Man tried his hardest to sink the club after he near enough bankrupted it. Embarrassing.

I`ve supported the Pars for a very long time.
I`ve seen them in the later stages of European
competitions and winning the Scottish Cup
and coming within a whisker of winning
the old top league. Then I`ve seen them going
to be in 2cd bottom place of the old 2cd
division. It certainly is a big roller coaster
ride supporting the Pars. They will always
be the team that I love.

I know a few older fans who bought into the share issue, because they thought they were helping the club. They weren’t on social media so were completely unaware of the fall out from it all.
Not sure why AE has brought up EEB ( as a negative ?) as he’s a regular poster on that forum, too.

Great OP. I share the optimism - it`s essential for Pars fans - but it`s tinged with trepidation.
A Pars fan since the early 60s, I`ve experienced that crushing disappointment many times before.
Maybe this time, it`ll be different...... 🤞

It`s very true that it is the hope that get us !
But I think this lot of players at present are possibly beyond hope !
We have 4 Homes games so let`s see what happens ( again here`s hoping )

To be fair GG, I didn’t expect much and decided to clean out cupboards of old clothes for charity. I didn’t think that we had a hope in hells chance of a victory today.
