Inverness are in administration, it`s fantasy to believe they were/are in any position to drive any sort of bargain or insist on much.
the people in charge of Inverness are BDO , they are in administration! And would be struck off if they turned down fresh cash, please don`t forget ICT not only have zero cash, they owe a huge amount unpaid, which is the administrator job to clear, otherwise they will be liquidated.
Possibly it was goodwill to loan him back, probably pragmatism from us.

Maybe Inverness wanted more for him without the loan arrangement, or maybe they thought they could get more value from him playing and then being sold at the end of the season? It would also be bad practice for BDO to just accept the first offer for an asset.
