Despite the very negative season we have had, we have plenty to be optimistic about.
1. The disastrous season we had was mostly caused by the Germans complete refusal to invest in the first team pre season. They are gone and have been replaced by new ownership who have indicated they are willing to spend the money required to get us to the SPL.
2. We have endured poor managerial appointments for a long time now, from Peter Grant onwards it has been calamitous. This ended with the appointment of Neil Lennon. I fully expect Lennon to stay on for next season and build a team that can compete at the top of the table.
3. We almost certainly will not be relegated (except in the unlikely event the Hamilton appeal succeeds and we end up in the playoffs). Under Tidser I really feared we would go down. I think there is a fair chance Airdrie would have caught us.
4. A lot of the squad is out of contract and we can see a huge transformation this summer. Hopefully it isn’t the usual three or four leaving to be replaced but 10 or 15. A lot of this squad have been here a lot longer than they should have been. One of Mcpakes biggest errors was handing out contracts to people he shouldn’t have rather than sending them on their way.
5. Falkirk might well blow the league next week after being well clear just a couple of months ago.
I feel more positive about the club than I have in a very long time. I’m genuinely excited about the future of the club for the first time in a very long time. The last two decades have been really quite miserable (with the exception of the year we won the championship under jimmy mac) but I feel we are very close to turning the corner. A lot of good things seem to be coming together now. We could be champions this time next year.

1. True as long as it isn`t Chelsea levels of brining in players, we had a bit of it in January. Hope the youngsters , who have won 2 back to back reserve cups start getting a chance. Overall I agree it`s a positive, hope we see money spent but spent well and not crazy amounts.
2. Agreed, though I`d cut mcpake a bit of slack from the list since Grant. But oh my what a bad few years it has been in the championship. Lennon I feel is better than the previous managers and I think can be successful if backed

4. We have too big a squad so plenty will go...have a feeling someone will buy Otoo. Massive turnover coming
. Be last chance for certain players contracted for next year.
Big season for Fisher, Todd, McCann,KRh etc
5. I`m ready to party if it happens.
