BBC found a way to advertise it through the Old Firm:
‘It’s a battle between two former Celtic teammates’
Really is embarrassing.
I see Ayr are already selling hospitality for the playoff semi final!

I can understand every commercial station saying this but why the fook do the BBC have to chase viewers when they are tax payer funded?

Airdrie now 2-0 up; no sign of Fisher in the Stenny squad and they only have 4 subs.

I watched 15 minutes of it at half time of the CL game, not very entertaining. Barcelona Milan on the other hand, could easily end up 4-4. Attack after attack. Barcelona just scored a peach then a wonder save stopped them making it 2 all.

Looked alright. Filled the left side of the main stand and had a decent amount in the right hand side. (as viewed from tv camera)

The attendance was 5,250 which was pretty good I thought. When Partick beat Falkirk 2-1 at Firhill a couple of weeks ago in another televised match the attendance was 4.997.

It looks like Ayr sold around 900 tickets last night, which I think makes sense. It`s on the TV for the first leg of a playoff quarterfinal. If they do end up going on a run, it`s a lot of money to spend for the fans if you`re going to every match (potentially 5 more games to play if they make it to the final).

I see they are considering changing the matches between the three Championship qualifiers to single games with the better-placed team getting home advantage. The final play-off with the second-bottom Premiership side would still be over two legs. It would reduce the perceived disadvantage of the Championship teams having to play up to four games before they take on a fully-rested Premiership side in the final.

The Premiership team isn’t fully rested. They still have 3 league games to play. The only team that gets a break is the team who finishes 2nd in the championship. That team will also play less games than the Premiership team. It’s a bit of a myth that the Premiership team has an advantage.

I have to say I never really bought into that argument. The teams in the Premiership still have 3 games to play this season.

Having re-read the article about it, I see it is part of the proposals which would see the Championship expanding to 12 or 14 clubs which might increase the number of games these clubs have to play in the regular season. As things stand though the qualifier from the Championship might play 36 + 4 games whilst the Premiership team would just play 38, 33 pre-split and 5 post-split.

The 2nd placed team in the championship would play exactly the same amount of games as the Premiership team. The only teams that would play more would be the 3rd and 4th placed championship which is fair enough.
