Reports starting to break that Ange is likely to be getting the sack with Frank and Silva being approached for consideration as replacements.
Difficult decision either way, personally find it hard though considering he won them their first trophy for decades and with it Champions League football despite a poor league campaign.
Deserved another season I think.

You can add Andoni Ariola to Levy`s wishlist. He definitely has more money than sense.
Spurs have been poor for two reasons;
1. A number of their most influential players have been out injured for significant periods of time.
2. Ange insisted on playing gung ho attacking football, even when their best players were out injured.

Never liked his public musings. While at Celtic he`d often pander and appeal to the base assumptions of the support by going down the line of `everyone is against us and the refs have it in for us`. I don`t for a second think he believed it but it made him look good in their eyes.

If they retain him I think it becomes their Ten Hag moment. They have been awful all season even before the injuries. The worst United team in recent memory should have beaten them in the UEFA cup final and if he’s allowed to take them into the Champs league they’ll get slaughtered.

Ange promised the club and fans he would get them a trophy in his second season in charge and did that…..he had injuries to all of his best players at one point but still maintained a decent style of football…the only guy that is the problem at spurs I’d Levy…

Managers trying to ingratiate themselves with their fans is fairly commonplace, TOWK. Given that Celtic fans are frequently believed to suffer from paranoia, Postecoglu was happy to pour petrol on the fire.
Mind you, who was it who said, "Just because I`m paranoid doesn`t mean they`re not out to get me!" 😀

That old management arrogance got him sacked.
It’s all fine and good to have a football philosophy but you don’t stick to it at any cost if you don’t have the players to carry it out.
That’s why they and Man Utd finished so low down the league as they did.
It’s why McPake and Tidser got the sack.

I couldn`t disagree more. With a full squad last season, and also without Harry Kane, they led the league early on and finished 5th. His "philosophy" worked just fine.
The squad was absolutely decimated by injuries this season. That`s the reason they finished where they did. Comparing Spurs and Man United is laughable, but comparing McPake and Tidser is even more ridiculous.
I hope he finds new employment soon.

DA, that`s what aaps was saying. His philosophy worked fine when he had the players and the best finisher in Europe in his squad. Without Kane and the many players out injured his philosophy wasn`t one that was going to see him win many games. He had no plan B accept annoyingly for me when they played Utd in the final and parked the bus. As it is I`m sure his everyman, folksy, Aussie charm will see him land on his feet elsewhere soon enough.

He finished 5th without Kane………🤔😂 utterly ludicrous from Spurs to sack him, wins them European trophy which also got them into CL next year, but deemed not good enough. Bizarre.
No idea who they will replace him with either as nobody will go there with the after thought of being sacked even if they return a trophy.

The main reason Ange has been sacked is because Levy is an absolute weapon. His arrogance and wealth has enabled him to sack better managers like Conte and Pochettino.
Ange hasn't helped himself in the league by adhering to his attacking philosophy with so many of his better players out injured, but having taken them into the CL, he should have been given the opportunity to stay on for another season.

Getting rid of a winner (adding to a long list who have ‘failed’ at Spurs inc. Conte/ Jose) and if rumours are true appointing Frank, who isn’t a winner, is a bizarre one.

You`re right Dave. I forgot Kane left just before he started. Was thinking that he bought Dominic Solanke for 60m to replace Kane.
Spurs finished once place above the relegation zones. They lost 22 out of 38 premier league games. In many seasons their pitiful points tally would have seen them relegated.

As a spurs fan I’m devastated. He clearly gave up on the league to focus on doing something we’ve waited 17 years for …..winning something.
He should have been allowed this season to see how he goes.
I expect a few players to leave as they have all publicly backed Ange since Bilbao.
Levy needs to go - from the happiest we’ve been as a club to ruins in 2 weeks. Another masterclass by Levy.

What a total joke to sack a manager whose team plays highly entertaining football and won a real European trophy — not just the league cup — that earned a place in the Champions League and a windfall to the club.
The media has droned on and on about Spurs’ league position, which no one will remember in 90 days. Spurs’ fans will always remember the trophy, though. The media had to come up with something after Ange followed through on his second-year trophy assertion.
I’ll be following a different EPL team next season.

It wasn`t just last season that cost him, the end of the previous season was poor too. In 2024 as a calendar year they picked up 51 points which was their lowest total in 17 years, they are on course to do worse again this year. In his first 58 league games he won 27 which was the same as Mourinho and 5 fewer than Conte did.Mourinho had a net spend of £86 million, Conte was £132.7m and Ange was £214.8m. I know a Spurs fan and they are glad to be rid of him.
Pochettino finished second in the league and got them in the Champions League final a few years ago and was sacked a few months later, so finishing 4th bottom was only ever going to end one way.

I haven`t seen too much of them so I didn`t really give an opinion I just stated the numbers. It was more through the family member(through marriage) that regularly attends Spurs, that I could sense the disgruntlement for a while.
You are correct about losing Kane although I recall in the honeymoon period it was him that had been holding them back(not what I thought).Son should still be in his peak now. He did spent a lot of cash on Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke and brought in Werner on loan and they were never going to take them to the next level imo.
On the rare occasions I did see Spurs it was more their comical defending and tactics of trying to play out from the back all the time that cost them though.
It could be a blessing in disguise for Ange too?, he walks out after winning a trophy. If they had a sticky start to next season he would have been under pressure straight away. At least he can have a bit of a rethink and go in and get a fresh start somewhere. Interesting to see who takes him on.

To be fair to him. He had horrendous injuries to deal with last season too most of his key players.... Then prioritised winning the Europa League towards the end of the season...
With fully fit squat he had them top 8 easily.

I always wonder what the next level is. I thought he just won a trophy in Europe. Is that not next level? He told people that he would get a trophy second season. He delivered. I don’t watch Spurs but they have had injuries, they have obviously played poorly in the League but they have won a major European trophy.
So I always wonder what next level is. It is an odd one amongst football supporters.
Personally I would have given him more time, but what do i know. Well, I suppose I do know Ange will be buying a new BBQ with Spurs’ money.

Ten Hag had a far worse injury situation the season before and nobody butted an eye lid.
Tottenham were terrible all season with their
Fans wanting Ange emptied from around October. I know a few Tottenham fans who wanted him gone a long time ago, complaining that the standard of football was abysmal.
