During last night`s Champions League final, the camera panned in on a weeping Inter fan. I like to think I`m in touch with my emotions but have to confess ... I`ve never cried at a Pars game despite the roller-coaster ride of 50-plus years as a fan. Has anyone ever shed actual tears at a Pars match?

2 for me and probably more because of the celebrations from who I go to the games with.
Stenny away winning 5-4 late on and then probably when Tom Beadling equalised at Parkhead.
Think I cried up at Inverness as a kid when we got relegated
C'mon Ye Pars!

Happy tears. Half time at Scottish Cup Final against Celtic, being 1 up and My dad set me off, saying it was one of the best moments of his life, being there with me ššš
Sad tears. Full time in Perth, against Hafffanafirdyor. Never felt so low at a game. š¢š¢š¢

Only time at a game was I had been in Edinburgh the night before and woke up late in a random flat at 12pm on a full stomach⦠down to Waverley and train to Dunfy and my stomach broke just outside EEP..sat on the pan in the norrie stand toilet missing the first half with tears of cramps in my bellyā¦.
Only other time was Norries goodbye ceremony at EEP when Bert got up and couldnāt speakā¦.
Mon the Pars!

I always think it`s people who don`t go to the games that cry.
The camera always picks up at World Cups etc. usually more photogenic than this blubbing mummies boy! If he was an Inter fan, he would like all football fans be used to crushing disappointment.
Even saw it Scotland in Germany, probably just for the cameras.
In all my years watching the Pars, I`ve never felt like blubbing, and I can greet over a film!
And saying that, you get extreme emotions following a diddy club like ours, but greeting during a game?
Probably the worst was I was genuinely a bit depressed when Tidser was manager.

11th May 1985.
We had just beaten Berwick 2-1
Alloa had been winning 0-1 at Arbroath and news filtered through that Arbroath had equalised. Everyone was on the park thinking we had been promoted.
After at least 5 minutes of celebrating Leishman came out and announced that Arbroath had not equalised and we were in the 2nd division for another season.
I had tears streaming down my cheeks and I was far from being the only one.

I was thinking about that day/game earlier. I finally watched the documentary about the Bradford fire this evening. Tears in my eyes a few times during that, but not on the day itself at East End (or any other).
It`s on iPlayer, well worth a watch.

Closest would be the Clydebank game just after Norrie died. You could feel the weight of the occasion hitting the players particularly when we let a 3-0 lead slip to be 3-3 and with the fans really getting behind the boys, we somehow salvaged the winner with that glorious strike from Craig Robertson.
It just felt like all the emotion from that week were released in that shot and you felt it on the terracing.

Not directly crying at a match, but Norrieās ceremony at EEP reduced a 15 year old me to tears when Bert Paton was so emotional. The whole situation just got me and I never even knew him.
Actually at football, no. Maybe Iām just not an emotional guy. I was probably close when Robertson scored again Clydebank in that game or Petrie up at united.

Never cried at a game, but the most emotional Pars goal ever must have been the 4th against Clydebank. The emotional release around the ground was unbelievable

Game at Starks whe we thought it was our last game ever.
I remember the updates on this forum when it went to court.
It was genuine real drama in real time waiting to hear if we were going to stay in business.
I remember Raith fans handing out fake pound notes in the boozer before that game.
I took it in good humour but our future was genuinely up in the air by the time we played that match.
Rovers board trying to cash in on our support left a bad taste in the mouth though.

Sport brings out emotions. Sadness is an emotion, happiness is an emotion. Therfore, being an emotional person, I have cried at matches, and watching matches on tv. Not full on blubbering except when I was a kid, but definitely tears that fall silently down my face.
I feel no shame about it, I would feel shame if sport was the one and only thing that made me cry, but it isn`t, so I`m ok.

This for me, I had tears in my eyes at points during that match, although I wasn`t full on bubbling, it was by far the most emotional I`ve been at a game. Just one week earlier I had been talking to Norrie at Nico`s, as I usually did. That game was surreal, the players looked out on their feet until the ball dropped to Craig Robertson. "The Goal" was more than just a goal, it seemed as though the will of the crowd actually guided that ball into the back of the net.
The only other time I can remember actual tears must have been when Leishman`s Premier Pars got relegated after a midweek match at Hearts, when I was a bairn, I remember me and my pals all having a wee bubble in the back of the car.
My pet hate is at a big televised football match, when the cameras zoom in on a upset looking supporter of the losing team, but then they see themselves on the big screen and it`s all smiles and big waves, and they`re grabbing their pals and pointing at the screen, saying "look, we`re on TV". From despair to joy in seconds

Don`t remember crying during the Clydebank game, but definitely did during the minute silence at the start. I wanted to go home at half time & I remember being utterly exhausted at the end with the emotion, the ups & downs of the game, the euphoria at the winner (still think Norrie scored that goal) and throwing my scarf barely over the barrier at the end, so grateful to the steward that picked it up to put alongside the many others hanging on the net.
Again, not during a game but remember being in the pub after the 2007 Cup final & bursting into tears at the "highlights" lol - losing the cup final to THEM again to such a nondescript goal from a player no one has ever heard of after such a fantastic run to the final & being relegated was just too much to bear!
Still think that would have been the perfect cup win - beating Rangers and Celtic & Hearts & Hibs would have been absolutely amazing.
Sigh š
COME ON YE PARS!
