The trip to Reykjavik,—disastrous as it was—is the only time I’ve seen us play in Europe. I’d love nothing more than to go on another European away day (or a few 🤞🏻) with my son.
Getting to another cup final together and going on a European trip with him is something I’ve dreamed about since the day he was born.

I guess it`s better to say that he is aiming for "europe" than saying "stability in the championship then the SPL". IF this should happen, i can only hope/dream the Pars would get a team in France, Lille or Strasbourg would be great. Sadly absolutely no chance of Pars v. Red Star (Paris), my dream, Red Star are mired in the bankruptcy of 777 (the same clowns that tried to buy Everton) and survival is the minimum for Red Star.
Neil Lennon is making all the right noises, fingers crossed he, management, owners and players can deliver in return for such loyal support over the lean years.

Aye, Red Star have had at the last count 11 mergers or name changes in their history , so one more won`t make much difference. They even bought the original Toulouse in the late 60s so they could jump up to the top flight!
A fairly typical flag of convenience, played in numerous locations making it difficult to attract any real support, interesting enough the Red Star has nothing to do with Socialism, but given the name by a minor English aristocratic!
Nice name though, the same reasons I follow Telstar (who wouldn`t!) and Go Ahead Eagles Deventer (I had the subbuteo team) you just get those team names, and for some unknown reason loosely follow the results.

Yeah neils Red Star have moved a few times from thier spiritual home in St Ouen, basically Stade Bauer was falling a bit of a dump and failed to meet minimum safety standards required by the league. I would say the have a core support of around 4000, which is not bad considering the clubs history of mediocrity and also the rise of PSG ( a bit like Partick Thistle with Celtic and Rangers).
I see Telstar are in the Dutch playoffs for promotion, sadly they beat Den Haag ( my team, watched them get scudded by AZ a few years ago).Good luck against Willem II.

Interesting stuff, big ambitions right enough, we’ll soon find out if it’s backed up by who we bring in this summer and who else we keep from last year outside of mullin.
Exciting times

Would be great to get into Europe and NOT be drawn 000’s of km away.
I’m in the centre of Europe, easy access to everywhere right?
I can be in Belgium, France and Germany in under 30 mins, 2 hours to Netherlands, 4 to Switzerland, super…
Our two draws have been Iceland and Sweden (although I made it to Sweden) - not exactly drivable from Lux.
‘mon the Pars, ‘mon the Lenny!

Hey, Lux, didn`t you organise a live TV transmission of both games for those of us who live a wee bit too far away?

He did. I remember I was in Singapore and was up in the middle of the night to watch a stream that buffered regularly 🙈

Indeed
The Iceland one was my very first venture, simply because wifey prohibited me from going just after daughter no.1 was born…
Captured from Icelandic local TV, linked to a Canadian media server and streamed at 250k - was horrible, blocky and buffered, but set the wheels in motion for ‘LuxTV’ aka internetfootball.co.uk
Sweden was actually my last broadcast!
Set up, captured on site and even commentated on by yours truly - even had to employ a local (Swedish Iranian) camera operator as local TV were on strike.

I was sitting with a player at the time, who wasn’t in the squad one of the away games, as we were watching a stream. He took pelters for how ***** he must be not getting into that team - all light hearted of course……
I really hope it is true as I am getting on now and have nothing now to stop me going on any European journey.
