Bene and Hamilton may not be regular starters this season, so we will probably see someone else wearing the armband. It would need to be someone who is experienced, maybe our “ Marquee Signing “ ?
Of course Bene’s case may go in his favour and he will continue playing in a back three alongside Mullan ( hopefully) and an other in which case he will still be captain I presume….
If it’s not Bene we defo need a real leader on the park, a Norrie/Fergie type….
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

For me - the captain should be the first name on the team sheet. For me, neither Bene, nor Hamilton justify themselves as automatic picks in the first XI.
The problem is - I don`t think anyone in the squad is a guaranteed starter (bar Kane, but his fitness issues mean he`ll play about half the games I think), and it`s hard to come straight into a side and captain it.
As such, on balance, I`d prob leave Bene as club captain (stripping him of the title if he`s found guilty of ?assault.

Think your being a bit harsh on the assault it was allegedly Falkirk people in incident and if that`s true id give them a contract extension and pay rise to help pay fine.........and before all the pc brigade jump in ....... IAM being perfectly honest 🤣🤣🤣🤣
