Wages will likely be a bit lower as fewer players but I feel a bit more quality in there. Still needs more but the team looks good currently.

Longer contracts for most of the new signings, transfer fees paid too, which is rare
At least we are shopping in a different market, usually we are after the same small pool of players as a few other clubs.
Don`t think money comes into it, the owners have paid out for a new pitch, a very good management team, sports scientist etc. the players bought in clearly have had a lot of due diligence, analysis done.
I`m not expecting miracles, and improvement on previous seasons will be a great start to build on.

Surely if we are paying a fee for these players then we’ll be paying a pretty competitive wage? Ie Alfons and Shea are surely not on £700-£800 a week for example?
Mullan will be on really good money, the wage bill will be lower given the massive but largely terrible recruitment in Jan but will be higher by the time we have finished brining in players.
Early days but feels safe to say what we have brought in this season will give us so much more than last seasons signings, outside of Kane I fancy a few players will actually have good seasons and show good form which you couldn’t say about last season.

Interesting to read Josh Cooper`s comments on COWS about how NL has changed his role and is asking him to play as an out-and-out striker rather than an attacking midfielder.

He seems to have benefitted from the preseason. He looks sharper and quicker to me. His strength in my view is running at defenders. The shortest route to goal is through the middle. Beat one defender you have been the whole defence with that style of play. I see him playing a much bigger role this season. Reward for his effort and application. He can score goals and is composed when chances arise.

Cooper I think will be huge for us this season.
Why he was left on the bench last season is a total mystery.

Any player should be sharper and quicker if having a proper pre-season. I know the players were subjected to gruelling sessions but that will only benefit them this season. Being fitter than your opponent is half the battle at this level.

Maybe it was down to the managers style or ways of treating players. Might be that NL has put his arm around Cooper and told him he believes in him

I think what Cooper has is similar to Kane, composure in front of goal. Not an attribute many have necessarily

I agree. His goal on Saturday being a great example of that. It would have been very easy to snatch at that chance, or think that it would need a lot of power to beat the keeper from there and end up ballooning it over the bar. I like how he said he was concentrating on just hitting the target
