Dunfermline Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Jefferson Cáceres from Sheffield United on a 2 year deal for an undisclosed fee, Subject to visa approval and international clearance.
The 22-year-old Peruvian international joins the Pars on a deal that will see him add South American flair to manager’s squad as the club looks to build on recent momentum.
Born and raised in Lima, Peru on 22nd August 2002, Cáceres brings a wealth of experience from both domestic and international football despite his young age. The versatile attacker began his professional journey through the youth academy of Esther Grande before making the move to FBC Melgar’s academy in 2019.
Cáceres developed through the ranks at FBC Melgar, one of Peru’s most historic clubs founded in 1915 and based in Arequipa. After being promoted to their senior team in 2020, he quickly established himself as a key player, making 39 appearances and finding the net eight times while representing the club in the prestigious Copa Sudamericana.

That Kerr McInroy reel was the best yet. Had him scoring from all distances. He only racked up about 6 shots in a Pars shirt.

Yeah all about how he clicks with our squad and coaches.
He clearly has ability but maybe just frozen out at Sheffield.
He’ll definitely get a fair few opposition players booked or sent off.

He has yet to play for them, the reason he has been frozen out there is nothing to do with the lad, can`t be bothered writing here, it`s easily available.
Seems a signing away above our level.

I don`t normally pay them any attention, I`ve heard the wee rockets at work mention him, but they are all into that Logan Paul and Andrew Tate and that nonsense, so I switched off, thinking it`d be more p 1sh. That`s good though, a wee bit of a mention from him now and then won`t do us any harm, and if he`s involved with Gamdom then it`s maybe a possibility in future too. By the sounds of it, he touts out mentions to clubs for money, not a bad wee bit of business. Probably worth giving him a bung with those sort of follower numbers

For 32 years old, Romano has done incredibly well to be so “in the know” on European football transfers. Thats some work ethic to be all over some of the biggest moves in Europe before others.
For context, if people want to know if a deal is done, they just need to check his socials. “Here we go” is probably a bigger pull than Jim Whites “yellow tie” was for Sky Sports!

The first interview with Jefferson Caceres (or `Paddy` as he`s called by his team-mates!) is up on COWS. He`s settled in the town with his wife and NL has told him about the `Fergie` connection. He`s described as playing as a left-winger, as a number 10 or as part of a midfield three. It`s his 23rd birthday today.
