Certainly didn`t look out of place. Always looking to find a pocket of space, dropping to take the ball if there was nothing kn, moving it quickly and comfortable in tight spaces. We`ll be doing well to keep him beyond the summer I think. Boy looks class in everything he does.

Game is live and free on FIFA+ app.
Alfons is playing in CM and playing well. Slightly fluid interchange between defensive mid and attacking mid with his CM partner and I would say alfons looks best when moving forwards. When uganda attack he can be caught a little between stools.
First 15 mins or so slightly passed him by as Moz defenders were hitting it long but since then he`s been pretty involved. It`s a decent level of game (one of Alfons` team mates plays for Sporting Lisbon for example) and AA doesn`t look at all out of place. His close control is great, able to move the ball well under pressure, looks to move ball forward quickly.
Uganda have had the majority of chances and their three attackers look strong and direct.
Not a bad game.

Amade subbed after 65 mins. I missed the first 15 mins of second half, but on evidence of first half, he should be proud of is contribution.

He looks like he could play at a far higher level, the longer he’s with us the better.

I’m looking at the centre of our midfield Gilmour, Amade and Caceras and thinking we are lucky to have these 3 in the the championship.

I think once the players click we’ll be very good. A young, talented squad playing under an experienced, proven manager. I think there are more than a few in there who could play at a higher level. Amade looks class and he should be starting from now on.
Main concern is still goals but hopefully with Rudden coming in he and Kane can get 10 each.

Replaced on the hour, so good to see he is being used sparingly! A 2-0 win, too.

Started to take an unhealthy interest in this.
Want Somalia to win the later game (unlikely) and I think Algeria, I guess they are too good, maybe Mozambique (or Os Mambas as they are known) goes through in the playoffs?

Highlights of Mozambique v Botswana here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCn6JkMEZ34
Alfons (number 16) heavily involved in starting off most of Mozambique`s attacks, including making the interception, driving forwards from half way and a good pass to the attackers which led to the first goal.

I think Alfons is a quality player. Great balance, a football brain, and vision.
Hopefully, he settles in well and goes on to have a great season with us.

Sticking the date of their next game into Skyscanner shows various flights costing about £900, taking the best part of a day, and having two stops on the way.
Anyone running a bus instead?

Edinburgh to Maputo via Doha with Qatar for about £500 return? Or are they away?
