 Mo Hutton Testimonial

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club is proud to announce that the 2025/26 season will be a Testimonial Year in honour of our legendary kit man, Mo Hutton, who has served the club with distinction for an incredible 33 years.

A Dunfermline Athletic supporter from a boy, Mo first joined the Pars in a staff voluntary capacity in 1993, working as a youth coach under Bert Paton and Dick Campbell. For six years, he played a vital role in developing young talent before taking over as the club’s kit man, succeeding another DAFC icon, Joe Nelson, during the 1999/2000 season.

Since then, Mo has been a constant and much-loved figure at KDM Group East End Park, serving 100s of players, 17 managers and witnessing five promotions, two Scottish Cup Finals, one League Cup Final, and a Challenge Cup Final. He was also rightfully inducted into the club hall of fame in 2019.

There are a couple of fascinating articles on COWS reminiscing with Mo about his time with the Pars and his plans for the future.

Most of it is reproduced in the Courier but there he also reveals the one player he didn`t take to during his long association with the club!

I would like to echo the sentiment of Mo being an exceptionally nice man and an absolute grafter and share a memory.
After my son died unexpectedly from an undiagnosed heart condition, I together with family, friends and colleagues embarked on a fund raising initiative to raise funds for heart screening in West of Fife.
When the actual screening time came, we were several treatment tables short and Mo came to the rescue. I met him at Pitreavie and collected them and whilst a man of not many words, he was empathetic, modest and decent. I also got to see him in action and I didn`t realise what was involved in laundering the kit after a match and how much commitment it required.
I think it`s a fantastic gesture by the club awarding him a testimonial and I for one will be supporting it wherever I can.
Enjoy your testimonial and retirement sir, you have earned it.
