The Friday night gane next week may be in doubt. A group of travellers have set up camp in the car park next to the ground and there`s a lot of talk that since there`s no evidence if tjem breaking in (not damage to gates or broken locks, no cctv images available), moving them on could take quite a while. Seemingly Dumbarton had a similar issue and it took months to resolve.
Just wanted to give folks a heads up, not wanting to start a general debate on the issue as it will only head in one, not very pleasant direction, and this is the football forum after all.

Just send an anonymous report to Police Scotland saying you heard them shout “feck Israel”. That should sort out the problem pretty sharpish.

not sure why the game would be in doubt there are 2-3 caravans at the top of the carpark next to the road at the Ormond stand side not like they are parked in the centre circle or impeding any access to the stadium.
Park with caution

Just going by what was posted elsewhere, where they seemed to suggest there were more than just a handful there. Also got to figure in the fact players and officials have to use the var park, and its a live TV game so the BBC will need to set up their trucks etc. Also if it cuts off one access route, the police might not be happy having all fans going down one side (even though there won`t be any bother I wouldn`t have thought).

I was once unlucky enough to get stuck in traffic when I went to the B&Q Ona Sunday when Saints were playing Celtic. I wondered why everyone was so grumpy. Then realised the game had started early and Celtic had lost.
Everywhere round the ground is busy with traffic so B&Q or that estate sounds a good alternative to the parking behind the stadium.

You might remember a certain part-time team from Iceland we had to play in a European game there? Our infamous artificial pitch was deemed not good enough for European ties, so we had to play the home leg somewhere else and the club chose Perth.
Not only were we beaten and knocked out by a late goal, the football under Davie Hay was dire. Sitting in gridlock in that car park for over an hour to get out just added insult to injury!
We’re in much better shape now to go to Perth, but that night still gives me nightmares.

…..even worse when you have food poisoning and you’re violently sick and yip… pooing.. whilst waiting to get out and people on the bus are (understandably) not happy, thinking you’ve drank too much.
True story by the way!

Unfortunately I do remember that and the car park. My comment was just an attempt at a joke 😉

No worries fcda. I thought you were. Just added a bit of context.

I suspect you`ll find B&Q have parking restrictions being enforced ?

Aye but we all know it`s a different story when the Glasgow clubs visit. Things like public drinking, public disorder, ticket touting etc are all openly tolerated.

To be honest, watching highlights on YouTube. I think the main stand allocation is the normal away allocation these days and part of the stand behind the goals has been opened as an over flow. If we sell that out then you obviously have the other half but I doubt we’ll take those numbers up on a Friday when it’s on TV.

"Splitting pars fans over 2 stands. Is this normal practice?"
Apparently they need to open wing of the Main Stand since that is where the disabled facilities are, and bigger crowds are given that and at least some of the stand behind the goals. Smaller crowds only get the wing of the Main Stand.

Think that section is nearly sold out but not sure if they’ll open up the entire stand.
Two sections in the main stand as well.

Just to let folk who are going know, there is apparently a "fanzone" area St Johnstone are trying out that will be open from 4pm with food and drink areas in the car park. There is also a bar in the ground open to both sets of fans.

M90 is closed southbound overnight so will impact coming back home after the game. Will need to leave at junction 9 (Gateside) and rejoin at junction 8. Shouldnt add too much time to journey.
takes effect from 7:30 so no issues heading up

We have been rotten away from home for seasons. A uneventful draw at Cappielow and a disappointment in Kirkcaldy so far this season.
We need to kick start our away form so hopefully tonight we get the performance and the result 🙏
