Please use the chat facility in parstv for any issues. Brian can’t check the forum whilst the game is ongoing. Cheers.

ParsTV connection from St Johnstone is very poor and stream buffering and going down. trying to resolve it but can`t be easy if St Johnstone can`t provide proper equipment
I belive we have scored :o)

connectivity from some away clubs is just not good enough, hard to believe it in this day and age.
unfortunately we are yet again held to ransom from the home club so DAFC will need to get this resolved, will need to go to SPFL. we had every expectation of getting a good service from St Johnstone and as usual it`s only when we stream that we notice we are not getting the service.

To be fair, the WiFi was appalling tonight in the stadium.

Surely there’s ways in this day and age where we can overcome this regular problem, like a dongle or starlink or whatever. There’s obviously a decent amount of money gone to the club through ParsTV, which has been crying out for investment for years.

Totally agree with you.
I bought a starlink and ran tests on it at a couple stadiums.
It`s ok at small stadiums but not practical at larger stadiums
Dongle and 5g not good due to large crowd.
Notwithstanding we totally expected a decent connection at McDairmid park.
Money going to DAFC doesn`t help provide a decent connection at an away club 🤷♂️
Something needs to be done I agree

I’ve said it many times before, we need to get an external consultant in to review the whole set up and provide solutions. None of the regular issues are insurmountable and the club needs to invest in this income stream.

Are you not understanding the explaination week in week out from the parstv team. They are at the mercy of the home team for connectivity ,maybe we should not be so accomodating to the teams who provide us poor connectivity

I get what you`re saying about a consultant
But you get an external consultant in and they will say:
"The home club needs to provide suitable facilities for the visiting club"
As I said earlier we had expectations of such a club to provide said facilities.
The club have refunded or extended subscriptions in the past don`t see why that can`t happen again.

As a regular overseas PARStv viewer, it is massively frustrating that other clubs fail to provide decent connectivity at their grounds.

What I’m saying is that we take our own equipment to use in the event of poor connectivity at away grounds. The technology is there to do that, we just need to understand what the best option to go with is.

Is part of the issue that the BBC are doing the game live and likely using facilities etc that would normally be available for a non television game.

Well, I think the Pars should reciprocate when teams come to play at East End. Those who have been helpful on their turf should get what they need from us connection-wise, and those who haven’t should be told where to go (politely of course!)

I agree with Brian. Show visitors to KDM Group East End Park how it is done. Encourage reciprocity. If every club provided visitors with proper connectivity, it`s one less hassle to deal with by all those trying to provide a streaming service.

Is it not a case that they are pushing the away teams supporters to their transmission, which will of course be perfect?
Having a monthly subscription is a win to them, kerching!
